Dissassociated notes and ideas.

Movement:

Mote moves like a monkey. Fast bursts of movement and altitude shifts. Capable of
grabbing onto handholds and trapeezing from place to place. This emphasis on speed
is enhanced by the first person perspective as things can move past the camera and
depth of field can be used to enhance the effect.

One cybernetic upgrade that should be aquired early on is an "Arc of travel

indicator" allowing Mote to see via an overlay just where she's heading through the
air.

Environment.

Gliese is a very alien environment (obviously) and can have wildly different means
of interacting to what is common-sense. Objects may have completely strange color
palletes due to it being an alien environment with strange chemistry.

Non-interactive envrironment

Glowspores: Mushrooms and fungi might release bioluminescent spores into the
air which drift on airdrafts and provide light in areas. When they land they might
be collected.

Acid-falls: Where acid meets water, create large clouds of yellow mist. Rocks
near this mist should be pockmarked by acid rain (material can be made easily),
possibly it might cause occasional acid damage.

Radioactive areas: Certiain mineral nodes should be radioactive. This will

harm mote overtime until they're properly depleted (See Overmining)

Methane breathers: Floating living platforms.

Neuron crystals: These crystals glow in a strange pattern, and glow faster
when Mother is talking.

Interactive environment.

Resonant crystal formations: These crystals glow and hum louder and louder as
warm objects get closer to them (such as mote) and can attract the attention of
large predators.

Electromoss: Hanging moss with glowing energy through them. Some hanging moss
areas have electricity arcing between them, passing through this field will
increase Mote's speed (useful for crossing a large airborne space.

Overmining: The more depleted that mineral nodes become for gaining crafting
materials, the more geologically unstable that portion of the map will be. Leading
to more burrowing enemies and possibly minor earthquakes (causing camera shake and
reduced control on the ground) in that area.

Carnevore brambles: Environmental hazard near some areas, think a cross

between venus fly traps and grapevines. They animate to chomp at mote or wandering
creatures as they get near.

Trapeeze roots: Sticking out of walls and the cieling at odd angles, Mote
should grab and swing off these as she approaches.

Enemies:

Focus on indirect combat of native life. Direct confrontation is not the monkey
way, the monkey way is to fight smarter, climb further, and be faster. Hit+run,
traps, and tools.

Minor enemies.

Swipers: These sneaky little critters try to get behind Mote and will try to
steal her inventory or easily stolen upgrades and run back to their nests which are
in hard to access locations. Mote can get her stuff back by getting to these
locations or can just make replacements. In addition Mote can make "Trackers" for
swipers to steal and follow them back to their nests.
