The Value of Technology to all Students

A. Introduction

“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating
them, the teacher is the most important”. –Bill Gates

You can’t deny that technology helps us work smarter. It can decrease labor needs and
costs by providing greater access to information, enabling timely and informed decision making,
among other things.

The students of this generation are considered technological learners. They learn best
being more interactive, and technology is what helps them do that. Children often struggle to
stay on task or interested, and with resources to help the teacher, they can better stay focused and
learn faster.

Technology has the ability to enhance relationships between teachers and students. When
teachers effectively integrate technology into subject areas, teachers grow into roles of adviser,
content expert, and coach. Technology helps make teaching and learning more meaningful and
fun.

The World today is celebrating the improvements in communication technology which

has broadened the scope of communication through Information and Communication
Technologies (ICTs).

We have seen the explosion of computers and hand-help devices in the last decade using
technologies that have increase computational and analytical capacities for less money. This
creates opportunities for acquiring, storing and analyzing digital data that is playing out across
every facet of our lives, including along the global produce and floral supply chain.

Do Technology make us smarter? We can all agree on the fact that technology makes our
lives easier. Some might say that it makes humans lazier.

Most of us uses technology because it makes things easier than usual. For example,
instead of writing a letter and waiting for it to deliver after few days, we use cellphone to text
them or send an email. Just like how students uses technology to do their homeworks, projects
and other requirements because it makes their work easier done in a lesser consumed time.

Technology is here to stay, but it’s always morphing and expanding. As each new
technology enters the scene, it has the potential to improve lives. But, in some cases, it also has
the potential to negatively affect physical and emotional health.
We use technology to accomplish various tasks in our daily lives, in brief: we can
describe technology as products and processes used to simplify our daily lives. We use
technology to extend our abilities, making people the most crucial part of any technological
system.

But as it is, technology is like a coin that has two sides, both negative and positive sides.
It helps people to be better informed, enlightened, and keeping abreast with world developments.

Technology can increase the motivation and Self Esteem, Technical skills, Can Improve
Design Skills/Attention to Audience etc.

But a lot of students don’t have enough sleep causing them to be late in class or worse,
they don’t attend their classes anymore and the reason is they slept late because of the Mobile
Technology. Some are even using their phones to access their social media accounts during class
hours causing them to be distracted.

Being overly connected can cause psychological issues such as distraction, narcissism,
expectation of instant gratification, and even depression. Beside affecting users' mental health,
use of technology can also have negative repercussions on physical health causing vision
problems, hearing loss, and neck strain.

Students are engaging with technology constantly outside of the classroom. Kids like to
be interactive, and learning through technology has now become a part of their lifestyle.

Technology is important because it makes you feel more secure with every area in life
for both personal and business reasons. With technology advancing more people are able to have
access to supplies such as fresh water and food because technology can help deliver those items
to people that otherwise couldn't get it.

We apply technology in almost everything we do in our daily lives: we use technology at

work, we use technology for communication, transportation, learning, manufacturing, securing
data, scaling businesses and so much more.
