Comparison:

Shear Lag: Check of the plastic strain in IDEA StatiCa clearly shows the shear lag effect. The limit
plastic strain is on 3.5% - the capacity is almost exhausted. On the other hand, the computation acc.
part D of AISC360 shows that the connection is beyond the limit by 19%.

Weld: Weld check is more conservative using standard approach.
