NATIONAL POLICIE’S/LAWS THAT ADDRESS THE ETHICAL AND MORAL

CONCERNS IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL ERA.

REPUBLIC ACT NO.10627

-An act requiring Elementary and Secondary teachers to adopt policies to prevent and
address the acts of bullying in their institutions.

Bullying is a scorching topic these days. Bullying can be done in many ways like
physical it is an unwanted contact between the bully and the victim like pushing,
punching, kicking and anything with physical contact. In the other part it can be verbal
for instance saying foul language, name calling, commenting about someone’s physical
appearance. On the other hand cyberbullying is done through the use of technology or
any electronic means.

In our country a lot of people love to judge, bash and spread fake news just to make the
person appear bad in the eyes of other people. Even if It’s not true they keep on doing it
just to get attention or they dislike that person. Instead of doing what is right degrading
makes them happy which is inappropriate. As a responsible citizen or social media user
we should know how to take in the information that we browse online. We should be
wise enough to tell if it’s reliable or not.

REPUBLIC ACT NO.10175

-An act defining cybercrime, providing for the prevention, investigation, suppression
and the imposition of penalties therefore and for other purposes.

As technology and SNS or social networking sites keeps on developing day by day.
People are engaged with this development. When times goes by people abused the
usage of the internet and they will used it in the wrong way for instance addiction,Illegal
recruitment, Illegal access to someone’s important information etc. In my perspective
the reason why the cases of cybercrimes keep on inflating is due to the increasing
exposure to technology. In addition to that since most of us have our own SNS accounts
we tend to have this curiosity about a lot of things that we browse online thus this
curiosity will lead us to something dangerous. A good example of that is browsing a link
that will benefit you that you believed will give you an additional profit and just carelessly
join it without investigating the source of it. To sum it up technological advancement is
good in a way that it helps us in many ways. However, it is an advantage for criminals to
do more crimes with the use of this.

NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT

-Was enacted in 1935 to protect the rights of employees and employers and to
encourage collective bargaining. The law protects the rights of employees to act
together to address work conditions whether or not they are part of the union. The
protection covers work-related conversations conducted on social media.
