1. Introduction
The following procedure shall be used as guideline for Hydro Testing activity for line no:E2-EKG
3. Preparation work
a. Hydro test will be perform at STS EDAC Workshop for item section B
b. Pressure gauge shall be install on the pipe spool.
c. One calibrated pressure gauges shall be directly connected to the system being tested at the
highest point, and shall be visible to controlling.
d. Fill up the spool with water,at the same time vent all air out of the piping by letting water overflow
through the highest vent to prevent air pocket
e. Hose shall connected to hydro test pump to proceed increasing pressure.
f. The hydro test pressure shall be not than 1.5 x design pressure but shall not exceed 1.5 x the
maximum rate pressure of the lowest-rate component in the system.
g. Hydro tester shall increase the pressure and hold for 5minute for ensure the spool free from
leaking.
4. Test Medium
The test medium used for Hydro test Testing shall be Potable water for carbon Steel.

7. Safety
a. All condition must comply with Permit to Work (PTW).
b. All conditions stated in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) must be followed.
c. All personnel working on the job site shall be informed of the safety awareness by attending the
safety induction conducted by client representative prior to commencing work.
d. Full PPE and fire watcher is required to ensure personnel safety whilst working at site.
