9 INTRODUCTION
Kauther cluster comprises of two sets of reservoirs, Fakhr and Kauther. It is proposed to tie-in
Fakhr-9(A3) HPG Well to KGP network.
9 STUDY OBJECTIVE
The objective of this report is to carry out hydraulic calculation using PIPESIM to identify
suitable size for Fakhr-9(A3) HPG Well flowlines with respect to pressure drop and erosion
velocity criteria. During hydraulic study suitability of 8” flowline is verified based on availability.
As Fakhr-9(A3) HPG Well is falling under Fakhr area, it is proposed to connect these wells to RMS-3
(Fakhr RMS) in KGP network.

9 METHODOLOGY
Fakhr-9(A3) HPG well coordinates provided in the Flowline and Well Hook-Up
Authorization (Refer Attachment-1) are plotted on Kauther area topological map and
flowlines are plotted to Kauther RMS-3.
20% margin is considered over length.
No margin is considered on flow rate.
Exiting PIPESIM model is utilized for the present hydraulic study.
Hydraulic has been performed for both the tie-in options.
Back pressure at the wellhead is compared with FTHP and maximum fluid mean velocity
is compared with maximum erosional velocity.

.4 Fluid Composition
Existing Kauther PIPESIM model is already having Fakhr field fluid composition. The fluid
composition is as follows.
Gas flow rates and landing pressures are considered as shown in the following table.

9 HYDRAULIC RESULTS
8” flowline is hydraulically suitable for Fakhr-9(A3) since back pressure is less than FTHP and
maximum mean velocity is less than maximum erosion velocity. Hence, 8” flowline is
recommended for Fakhr-9(A3).
