SAMPLE QUESTION ( to be given in written)

Karol Bagh, New Delhi. Write a letter to the Municipal
Commissioner complaining about the accumulation of
debris and garbage around your residence requesting him
to take immediate measures to resolve your issue.

Subject: removal of debris and garbage

Sir
I am a resident of Karol Bagh. This is to request for the
removal of debris and garbage from my locality from a
vacant plot.
House No 3A/88 at Karol Bagh, New Delhi was demolished
by its new owner and has been lying unattended for last
two years. The owner of the plot has made fencing around
it. The problem is that the people of surrounding areas and
passerby take advantage of the vacant plot by throwing
garbage or debris in the enclosed area of the plot as well as
around it. The dumbing ground not only provides ideal
breeding condition for mosquitoes thus affecting the health
of the people and also spoils the aesthetics of the area.
Despite several complaints and reminders by the residents,
the apathy shown by the authorities is shocking. So, far no
action has been taken by the concerned authorities .Kindly,
look into the matter and ensure proper maintenance of the
area.

Yours sincerely
Anupam Seth

CW I
Values Highlighted in the Chapter (to be given in written)
 Art unfolds truth of Life: Art is a great initiator into
the mysteries of life, inviting us to explore the
unknown. They underline the truth that there is
another domain beyond this material world. In
order to understand the beauty of a creation one
needs active participation of the mind and the
heart. Life makes no meaning unless we undertake
the inner spiritual journey. Artist does provide the
viewers with this avenue, by giving them the
freedom to interpret his work, according to his own
understanding.
 Role of Man in the Universe: The importance of
man and his fundamental role in the universe can be
explained in the light of Daoism. Man exists in the
space between Heaven and Earth. He is the medium
of communication between both poles of the
universe. The human presence is minor, yet
indispensable in the vastness of cosmos and each of
us shall find our way only when we realize how
essential balance between all universal element is.
In most Eastern culture such a ‘middle void’ is
where the human beings find their role in the
universe.
