The Most Important Subjects in Mechanical Engineering

THEMAVIB: Thermodynamic (Fluid Mechanic), Material, Vibration

Nowadays, in the university almost all students are very careful in maintaining their
grades. In this term they put more attention to the lessons that they think are important which
is their way to maintain the score. Therefore, the writer believe that every student has their
favorite subjects that they think it is important include me I have three my favorite subjects in
mechanical engineering such are Thermodynamic, material, and vibration which in every
subject I have some reasons why I like those the crucial subjects.

The first subject that I like is Thermodynamic, few of students in mechanical

engineering dislike this subject because this subject related to the physic which has a lot of
calculation, but in my perspective, I like how they analyst the air flow for example, the air that
flowing in the wing of aircraft we as engineer we may calculate the turbulent or vortex that
occur in the wing, in other side I have dream to work in aviation world specially for aircraft.
Therefore, I have to put more attention trough this course which is the way how I rich my
dream in the future.

Secondly, material is one of my crucial favorite subjects, material properties is about

how the characteristic of each material can be reacted, in this course also we can measure how
big the stress, the strain, and deformation if we give force, load or pressure to each material
and we do little bit analyst to make sure the value that we got from measuring. Material
properties also one of the concentrations of mechanical engineering because from here subject
we can learn how to run our business in the future. Beside that this course is easy to understand
if we concentrate because the lecturer so objective in grading so that almost all students give
more attention for this course.

Last but not least, vibration is one of my favorite subjects this lesson related to dynamic
of the system, related to my reason why I like thermodynamic same with this subject because
in vibration we learn how to measure the vibration of transportations for example, the simple
thing we just only measurer the spring vibration but later we can also measure how big the
vibration of the turbulent that occur in the body of aircraft that is why I like this subject because
is not so far about aviation again so it is very useful for take my dreams come true.

In summary, those three subjects are important subjects for me as an engineer. Because
I have dreams in aviation world therefore to take a good concentration and give more attention
is obligated for me to maintain my grade so that I can achieve my dreams come true, and last
if we want to get better score we should bear in mind that ‘the way you understand those
subjects start from how big you like it”.
