SUBJECT : Explanation

DATE : May 7, 2019

1. Reference: Memorandum from Station Commander, PS11 dated May 3, 2019.

2. This pertains to the charge against me for abandoning on post on May 2, 2019 to which
I am the designated duty static foot patrol personnel of Davao Philippine Eagle Center from 8:00
AM to 5:00 PM on the said date.

3. In view thereof, I firmly and vehemently deny the said accusation against me as I did
not leave nor abandon my post throughout my whole tour of duty on May 2, 2019.

4. The truth of the matter is that o May 1, 2019, I was taking my post inside the
Philippine Eagle Center when our Station Commander transferred my post at the Boom Barrier
near the water district office located near the entrance of the said establishment considering that
there are more tourists and visitors found on that area and there are already duty Tourist Police
Personnel who are stationed inside, thus, since then I rendered my static patrol duty at the newly
established security post.

5. On May 2, 2019, I again rendered duty in that security post until at about 10:00 AM of
the said date, a person wearing civilian attire talked to me and asked me where my table is and I
answered that a request was already made as the old table was already damaged. Likewise, he
declared that he was a member of the Red Team and asked if there are personnel inside the
establishment thus I said that there are Tourist Police Personnel inside which were checked by
their Tourist Police Supervisor.

6. Thereafter, the other members of the Red Team arrived and before they left they gave
me “Packed Lunch” for me to eat. Since then, I never left my post on May 2, 2019 nor have I
abandoned my post until the end of my tour of duty. Such fact was witnessed by my companion
Barangay Police Auxiliary Al Laid, the Security Personnel of the establishment, and the Crew of
Mobile Patrol 98 PMSg Roger Nuñez.

7. In this regard, I vehemently deny the allegations against me and respectfully pray that
the charge against me for abandonment of post be not given merit.
