Garbage Disposal in Barangay Pasonanca.

The garbage disposal here in barangay Pasonanca is all over the

place. What i mean about that is, it is everywhere from street’s to the
corner of the walls. When you walk around the barangay you can see
there is a lot of trashes. In my street at Fernandez drive the trashes
are not thrown properly some of my neighbors are also not disposing
it properly. There is noting wrong with throwing it in front of their
houses like we do but we have a lot of street dogs in our barangay
when we put our garbages properly the dogs just go and destroy it.
Street dogs is a big problem also in our barangay because street
dogs often are the one who is destroying the garbage sucks and
reason it gets really messy sometimes. People must know that even if
we throw it properly, but if it is not in the proper place the garbage
truck will just pass by and the trashes is left for the dogs to destroy.
There is a proper place to throw our garbage so the garbage truck
would able to pass it. Every morning at 6 am the garbage truck will
pass our street and the garbage must be in the proper place just
outside of the Fernandez drive so they would able to see it. The
problem is the people, there are not responsible enough to throw it
at 6 am they say it’s too early so the trashes are just ended up all
over the place.
Improper waste is common in every barangay and Pasonanca is
no different. And I may have an effect on people that is leaving here,
it can cause a lot of problems because of the misbehaviour of the
people towards waste management. Some people are careless to the
environment by just in throwing their garbage everywhere they want.
They do not think of the possible results of their actions on the
environmental as especially on health.
The soil, water, and air pollution can all be a result of improper
waste disposal. Examples of improper waste disposal includes
littering, hazardous waste that is dumped into the ground, also the
recycling trashes that can be recycled. This is what I observed is our
barangay they do not practice the proper way to put the plastics.
Disposing of waste has huge environmental impacts and can cause
serious problems. Proper garbage disposal is important to ensure
everyone’s safety from possible health hazards. People will suffer in
the next years if our barangay won’t do anything about this
problems.
Some causes of improper waste disposal in our barangay is people
are irresponsible of their trashes they just leave it anywhere not
thinking of the consequence it may cause to the people or the
community. People are not following the correct rules of proper
waste disposal. They must be rules to follow such as throwing it
outside so the garbage truck will be able to pass it instead of leaving
it anywhere. They must tie it properly because of the dogs keeps on
trying to find food. People are burning plastic instead of keeping it
recyclable it.
Also I observed that because of the improper waste disposal that is
happening in our barangay the soil contamination does not only
affect plant growth, it is also unhealthy to humans and animals
feeding on those plants.
Barangay Pasonanca is loved by the people because of the foods,
plenty of the restaurant is located at Pasonanca from fancy
restaurant to simple vendors that are selling barbeques you can
really see that there is a s of foods to eat. Some of the vendors that
are selling barbeques just don’t clean their places properly leaving
the barbeque sticks on the ground and the sauce makes it disgusting
and smelly.
How can we solve this? Barangay Pasonanca can start recycling
waste in another option. Buy products that are good for the
environment instead of purchasing those plastic pop bottles, they can
find a way that are more environmentally friendly. Some of this
include bottles openers, calendars, coloring books, and much more.
Of course there is a lot that we can do to fix the problems, that
problem itself is the people that are irresponsible with their trashes
all of this can be avoided if we people are such greedy. And it is very
sad to know that lives have been sacrificed because of this calamities
that have come. And people may not realize this but their
contributing to the man made calamities.
