1. NAME
1.1 The organization hereby constituted shall be called Gomotsanang Bagolo Society Club.
2. VISION
We envision active elderly citizens and encourage other elderly people to join so that we built united community
and help each other, giving each other advices.
3. MISSION
To utilize every tool and opportunity before us for the betterment of the living condition in the community. To
create a healthy happy and free progressive society.
4. BODY CORPORATE
4.3 Continue to exist even when its membership changes and there are different office bearers.
5. MAIN OBJECTIVES
5.1 To provide social, emotional, physical and mental development of older persons
aiming at loneliness and giving support during times of bereavement.
5.4 To raise funds and receive contributions where appropriate to finance the work.
6. AREA OF OPERATION
The area in which the service club is operating and in which services will be carried on is in Seweding
village, in the North West Province, Mahikeng.
7.1 The organization will keep all the records of all its properties and assets.
7.2 Members of the organization do not have any rights over assets and property by mere facts that
they belong to the organization.
7.3 The organization may not give its money and property to its members or office bearers.
8. MEMBERSHIP
8.1 Membership of the organization shall be open to elderly people, who are 60 years and above,
application for membership shall be subjected to the approval by Management Committee.
8.4 Any member of Gomotsanang Bagolo may terminate his/her application in the

organization by giving the secretary of the organization a written notice to that effect
10.1. CHAIRPERSON
10.1.2 Make pronouncement for and on behalf of GBSC, outlining the aim and objectives of any
question, provided that this is done within the values and principles of Gomotsanang Bagolo.
10.1.3 Accountable to the Executive Committee for its activities and meetings.
10.1.7 Together with the secretary draft the minute and agenda and convene meetings.
10.1.8 Ensure that the secretary and treasurer take responsibility for the organization’s
finances.
10.2.1 The Deputy Chairperson shall over and above deputizing the chair be responsible
10.3.4 Together with the chairperson, draft the agenda and convene meetings.
10.5.1 Responsible for all aspects related to the financial affairs of the organization.
11.2. Management Committee meetings shall be called by the secretary, in consultation with
the chairperson.
11.5. All committee members shall be given at least 7 days’ notice unless it is deemed an
emergency meeting.
11.6. At least six (6) Management Committee members must be present for the Management
Committee meeting to take place (four members of the Executive and two additional members.)
11.7. Minutes of the meeting shall be kept safe and always be on hand for members to
consult.
12.1. Members of the executive committee must always try to reach a consensus
on issues, voting must be the last thing to do to make a decision.
12.2 Voting at Management committee meetings shall be by secret ballot on a majority basis.
If there is a tied vote then the chairperson shall have a second vote.
13.1. Gomotsanang Bagolo shall hold on Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year.
13.2. Where possible members shall be notified personally, otherwise notice will be deemed
served by advertising the meeting in at least 14 days of the AGM.
13.3.1 Receive a report from the Chairperson of the organization's activities over
the year.
13.3.2 Receiving a report and presentation of the lest financial year's accounts
from the treasurer.
13.3.4 Electing a new management committee and considering any other matter
as may be appropriate at such a meeting.
14. FINANCIAL
14.1. Any money raised shall be used only for Gomotsanang Bagolo.
14.2. Any bank account opened for Gomotsanang Bagolo shall be in the
organization's name.
14.4. The treasure shall arrange for all funds to be put into a bank account in the
name of the organization. The treasurer must also keep records of all finances.
