First of all, the mainly of nature mean genes or heredity such as sex, height and so on

(Rutter,2006). The mainly of nurture mean environment and experience such as parenting
styles, attachment styles, education and culture (Plomin,1994).
The nature-nurture debate is concerned with the relative contribution that both influences
make to human behavior, such as personality and psychopathology (Rutter,2006).

There are certain of people think that nature is more important because the earlier
particular ability appears which may think that it is to be under the influence of genetic
factors. On the other hand, some people think that nurture is more important. Because in
different study find that they have an additional route by which the environment may
affect how genes are expressed (Plomin & McClearn,1993).

In my opinion, I think nature and nurture is both important in human development. The
reason why I have this idea is because I am convinced that the intelligence, personality,
and memory of each person depend largely on your genes and the inheritance of your
parents.
However, if there is no good environment and education in their future, only good genes
cannot make the genetic traits manifest (Plomin,1994). Therefore, the innate genetic
inheritance and acquired education and environmental factors will impact our ability,
behavior and psychology (Leahy,1935). There are also many psychologists who have
conducted different research results. It shows us nature and nurture are also important on
human development. I will use the following examples to prove my claim how nature and
nurture affect human personality, behavior and potential.

When we just born, in this moment our potential and intelligence both affected by the
genes of our parents (Plomin, 1990). Taking personality as an example, every baby has
their own personality after they born, the earlier particular ability appears, the more likely
it is to be under the influence of genetic factors if your parents is an optimistic you will
become an optimistic people too.
But as the child grow up, they will approach different things or people in a lot of
environment (Plomin, 1990). For example, school or playground. The child will affect by
cultural development and the interactions they have with others and our environment then
change as they grow up.

If some children who are bullied, they will easy to grow up to be the introverts people.
Because they are per fried of human interaction in their experiences and they are
confused about human interaction in their experiences (Harper, 2018). A negative
parenting will exacerbate frustration, impulsivity, and poor self-regulation in their
children. If a children is adopted and the step parents who have raised a family are a
peaceful person, this child properly will change his personality (Scaccia, 2016).

Let talk about the second example about human behavior ,psychologist Albert Bandura
in 1960s conducted a series of experiments on observational
learning https://www.simplypsychology.org/bobo-doll.html, he want to know will child
learn by observing other people’s behavior, for example the aggressive behavior. The
experiment is divided into several different groups. Group a is to observe the real people's
speech and action attack toys. Group b is to observe the film in which someone uses the
speech or action to attack the toy. Group c is to observe the cartoon use the words or
actions to attack the toy. Finally, let the children go to the same place as in the film
environment and observe whether the subject will have any aggressive behavior. The
experiment reflects that children will learn aggressive behavior through the video, and the
way they attack is similar to that in the video. This experiment also can reflect that some
of the behaviors of children are greatly affected by other people or things.

Finally, nature and nurture also will affect people develop their potential. For example
Psychologist David S. Moore “The Developing Genome’’
(https://courses.lumenlearning.com/wmopen-psychology/chapter/outcome-gene-
environment-interaction/ ). In his book he said that ‘They all come from that uncertain
zone, neither fixed by nature nor totally under our own control. I totally agree with this
because it mention that genes are not the most important, the most important thing is how
you use them, the genes will change due to your environment, stress and nutrition. He
uses basketball players and violinist as are example in the book. We may think that a
good basketball player has a height dependent on heredity, but we will ignore that maybe
he has a proper diet during his growth. He has enough nutrition, this can make his genetic
factors develop better. Parents can give you the inheritance of your height, but if you
don't have proper exercise to develop muscles and not absorb enough nutrients, these
genes cannot be fully developed. For the violinist, people will think his success is
because on the good family background but ignore the important thing that maybe he has
good genes like long fingers or coordination ability. Therefore, this is the reason why
nurture environment and your own efforts are also very important.

To sum up, both examples can show us different envelopment and experience will change
our personality.so I think it is very different to said that nature and nurture which one is
more important for human development because a lot of studies both show us both of
them have their effects for human development. So that why this question will be arguing
for such a long time.
