ANALYSIS OF SIMILAR FILMS

Black Mirror Shut up and dance -

There are many ways in which this episode of black mirror would relate to my idea of a
short film. For example, starting from the end we can see how there was a twist and how
our main character got tricked into doing something that later he still got caught for,
yet he was promised not to be. On the other hand, I will also be trying to do a black
mirror style of film to my short film. The film connotes the dark and frightening theme
we also used in our scenes hence why I analysed these films.

The Dollmaker -

There are many ways in which this short horror film relates to the previous idea of a short film I
had. For example, the idea of how the doll should only be used for a limited amount of time and
how she can't show the doll to anyone else as she can't go outside with it. While, On the other
hand, the way how near to the end of the short film, we are given a twist which we didn't expect.

Deep it -
In this short film called 'Deep it', there are many ways in which this could relate to my
short film idea. One way in which this short film would relate is where the film is shot
which is in London and how the film signifies knife crime in the UK. It also contains gang
violence which is also shown in our footage and the selection of costumes and the
balaclava’s, masks, and weapon props are also used in our scenes.

Black Mirror White Bear -

With this Black Mirror episode, there are a lot of ways in which this relates to my short
film. One way in which this episode of Black Mirror would relate to my film is starting
from the end, there is a twist in which I enjoy in film, so I added it in my film. On the
other hand, the way how our main character thinks that everything is real to later find
out that everything she was doing was all fake and a setup because of what she did.
