Analysis/Conclusion

Balance in a business is not spoon feed, it something you earned by creating it. As

Rauni Kew stated “It’s finding the right balance between business, the guest experience

and helping the environment.”

Canon Company is a corporation that is one of example of a business balance. It is a

must to have an objective in engaging in a business world, and it is common to have

ambitions for success and recognition. And Canon has the same ideology, wanting to

be respected and admired company in the world is neither tall story nor an easy road.

Even to a well-know corporation, and meanwhile wanting to fulfil the corporate

responsibility to the people and environment. And it is even to the extent of allowing the

different branches to have a chosen social corporate responsibility instead of having a

synchronized one.

The Environmental Communication Award is evidence to success of the Canon

Company. After all, this award is given to recognized outstanding reports on the

environment and environmental activities, as a mean of promoting environmental

management and communication initiatives by business and improving the quality of

environmental information disclosures (globalcanon.com). Remembering the Kyosei

philosophy “living and working together for the common good”. Therefore, we could say

that Canon has than a good work in achieving a balance of earning profit and at the

same time engaging and performing corporate responsibility.
