PETITION TO FIX BAIL WITH PRAYER FOR REDUCTION OF BAIL

(BAILABLE OFFENSE)

COMES NOW, respondents Richard De Guzman Bitoin, assisted by the

Public Attorney’s Office unto this Honorable Court most respectfully state that:

1. The above accused is currently detained at Lopez Municipal Police

Station, Lopez, Quezon (Certificate of Detention is hereto attached as
Annex “A”);

2. No amount of bail is set but the amount of bail provided for the offense
of BP 6 under the latest Bailbond guide1 is six thousand (Php6,000.00)
pesos;

3. The respondent is earnestly praying that the amount of bail be set and
he be released upon posting of the amount of their bail in accordance
with Sec 17(c) of the Rule 114 of the Revised Rules of Criminal
Procedure;

4. Respondent is indigent and will depend on the assistance of his

relatives through their collective efforts for the payment of his cash bond
for his temporary liberty;

5. The accused promises that he will appear whenever his presence is

required by the Honorable Court or by any competent authority.

WHEREFORE, premises considered and for humanitarian reasons, it is

respectfully prayed that the amount of bail be fixed at a reduced amount that upon
posting the said amount, respondent prays that they be ordered released. The
respondents likewise pray for other reliefs under the premises.
