Survey Summary

One hundred thirteen people participated in the conducted survey, with 64 of them

are female and 49 of them are male. And of the hundred eleven, majority of them,

composed of 77 people are from the 18-25 year old bracket, followed by the 26-35 year

old bracket which was represented by 4 people, then a total of 22 people with 36-45 year

old bracket and lastly, there are 10 people in the beyond 45 age bracket.

The larger fraction of them came from Batangas Province with 82 people, followed

by Laguna with 9, then Cavite with 3, Quezon with 4, Mindoro Province with 3 and Rizal

with 2 respondents.

When asked where the respondents usually go in Batangas, 90 of them usually go

to Batangas City, while 73 of them frequently visits Lipa City. Taal is also one of their go-

to place with 43 respondents, some also visits Sto. Tomas City with 26 respondents. San

Juan, with 23 respondents is also as a summer destination. Known for its Parade of Lights,

Tanauan with 20 respondents is also a tourist destination. Batangas is a gem of nice

beaches which Nasugbu is well known, which gained 17 respondents, and Calatagan with

8 respondents. Other places are also chosen, which proves that Batangas is truly a home

of not just pristine white beaches but also of its rich culture and history.

When asked if they have traveled by plane and if they’ll choose air transport if the

project will push through, 57 of them answered yes, and 56 of them answered no. People

nowadays choose air transport because it is the fastest and more efficient than sea travel.

In the question, “What kind of flight do you usually take?”, 50 percent travel

domestic and the other half, travel international.

 When asked how long does it take for them to get to the airport from their place,

36 of them answered 3-4 hours, 22 of them answered 1-2 hours and 18 of them travels

beyond 4 hours.

In the question, “Do you think putting up an airport will help ease passenger

movement in the country, especially in NAIA?”, 94 of them answered yes, 18 of them

answered maybe and only one answered no.

After analyzing the results of the conducted survey, the researcher concludes that,

many people want to have a more efficient and fastest way of transportation. Many of the

respondents travelled not just one municipality or city but almost all of the places in

Batangas Province because it is known for its rich culture, history and natural wonders,

that is why people choose the province as one of their vacation destinations. The need of

another international gateway is strongly proven based on the answers.

And since they think that the proposal will help Batangas Province improve in

boosting the tourism, trade and commerce, majority of the respondents agrees to have a

new transportation system. It will give ease to the growing number of passengers not just

in the province but also in the whole country. The tourism is increasing each year in every

country around the world. These survey results give a more concrete proof that there is a

need to address the problem identified by the researcher concerning the project proposal.
