1. Executive Summary 

The first Catholic parish church in the municipality of General Trias in Cavite
province, the Philippines, is the St. Francis of Assisi.When General Trias was still a
visita (sub-parish) of Cavite Viejo, the Franciscans built the town's first church (now
Kawit). It was given to the Jesuit order of Cavite Puerto (now Cavite City) in 1624,
and on September 9, 1753,
it officially separated into its own parish.
Under the direction of Doa Maria Josepha de Yrizzari Y Ursula, Countess of
Lizarraga, the first stone church was built in 1769. In 1834, it was expanded and
renovated. The church experienced some damage from the 1880 Luzon earthquakes.
The front was therefore reconstructed in 1881 and further restored in 1885. As further
seismic protection, the roof tiles were replaced in 1892 with lighter corrugated
galvanized iron roofing. It was upgraded and expanded once more.The church

The church's previous appearance was restored between 1989 and 1991. The convent
is connected to the church, which was rededicated on June 22, 1991,
by Most Reverend Felix P. Perez of the diocese of Imus, where it is located. It is
where the local marching band Banda San Francisco de Malabon trained to sing the
Philippine national hymn Marcha Filipina during the Philippine Declaration of
Independence.

2. Situation Analysis 
The convent now houses the Museo de San Francisco de Malabon. The St. Francis of
Assisi Church was designated a historic structure by the National Historical Institute
of the Philippines (now National Historical Commission), and it is where the Banda
San Francisco de Malabon, a local marching band, practiced the music of the
Philippine national anthem Marcha Filipina before performing it during the Philippine
Declaration of Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898, in Kawit, Cavite.

The parish church was well-known because the Banda Matanda practiced the Marcha
Filipina, the national anthem of the Philippines, there before performing it at the

tree to its old ocation and carved the picture of St. Francis

35 kilometers (22 miles) southwest of Manila is the Cavite city of General
Trias, which is an interior city. It crosses the province's northeastern region.
General Trias has a total land area of 81.46 square kilometers, which is
bounded by the cities of Dasmarias and Imus to the east, the municipalities of
Rosario and Noveleta to the north, Tanza and Trece Martires to the west,
Amadeo to the south, and Silang to the southeast (31.45 sq mi).

Demographics

According to the 2022 Census, the age group with the highest population in
General Trias is 5 to 9, with 31,470 individuals. Conversely, the age group with the
lowest population is 80 and over, with 1,360 individuals.

Many people nowadays loves tourist attraction, also known as a visitor attraction or a
tourist destination, is a place of interest that is frequently visited by tourists. It is

typically visited for its inherent or an exhibited natural or cultural value, historical
significance, natural or built beauty, offering leisure and amusement. These features
draw visitors to the location and enhance their overall experience. Attractions
consequently play a crucial role in the travel and tourism sector as they draw travelers
from all over the world.Both host countries and the home countries of tourists see
significant economic gains from tourism. The anticipated economic gain is one of the
main reasons an area promotes itself as a travel destination, especially in developing
nations.
