Planetary Transits August 14 – August 20 2014

Chart of the week: Robin Williams (July 21, 1951, 1:34 p.m. CST, Chicago, IL) had the Libra rising sign with Sun in Cancer
and Moon in Aquarius. This gave a magnetic personality, royal status with the public, and an unconventional
imagination. Venus, in the eleventh house, gave income and friendships connected with entertainment. Sun and
Mercury in the tenth house made him a royal messenger and brought substantial income. The influence of Mars on the
third house gave courageous speech. Unfortunately, the northern node of the Moon, Rahu, closely afflicts Venus, ruling
health and longevity; Mars, ruling marriage; and Moon, ruling peace of mind. The close influence of Rahu and Ketu in his
chart gave charisma, fame and fortune, along with phobias, addictions, heart disease, highs and lows, and cut short the
life span.

He was in the final 10 months of a strenuous 7-year Ketu main period. He would have then gone into the more favorable
20-year Venus main period. The astrological view and planetary remedies might have helped him to better manage his
life.

WHERE THE (VEDIC ASTROLOGY) PLANETS ARE THIS WEEK:

Sun transits out of Cancer and into its mooltrikona sign, Leo, on Aug.16 at 6:45 p.m. CDT. Sun moves away from the fifth
aspect of Ketu and the tenth aspect of Saturn, but is weak in degrees until Aug. 21.

Moon is waning and transits Pisces, Aries, Taurus, and into Gemini.

Mars transits Libra, from 16:35 to 20:46°. Mars is outside the 5-degree orb of influence of other planets, but is co-
dependent on the strength of Venus until September 24.

Mercury transits Leo from 03:03 to 16:07°. Mercury is outside the orb of influence of other planets and is in a royal sign.
This should be good for stocks, business and communications, especially when its dispositor, Sun, regains strength after
Aug. 20.

Jupiter transits its exaltation sign Cancer, from 12:18 to 13:49°. Jupiter is closely conjunct Venus until Aug. 22. Taurus,
Scorpio, and Pisces rising sign persons, companies, and countries should be careful and patient.
Jupiter is co-dependent on the frequently vulnerable Moon until July 13, 2015, and is in the sixth, eighth and twelfth
(inauspicious) houses for Aquarius, Sagittarius and Leo rising signs, respectively. This weakens the eleventh, first and
fifth houses, respectively, for these three rising signs. Wearing a yellow sapphire gemstone as a ring or pendant would
be helpful for these and all rising signs except Taurus, Cancer, and Capricorn.

Venus transits Cancer from 08:15 to 16:50°. Venus is closely conjunct Jupiter until Aug. 22. Taurus, Cancer, and
Capricorn rising sign persons, companies, and countries should be careful and patient.

Saturn transits its exaltation sign, Libra, from 23:03 to 23:22°. Saturn is co-dependent on the strength of Venus until
November 2. Taurus, Scorpio, and Pisces rising sign persons, companies, and countries should be careful and patient as
Saturn is transiting their sixth, twelfth and eighth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Rahu and Ketu, the north and south nodes of the Moon, transit Virgo and Pisces, respectively, from 26:56 to 26:44°.
Rahu and Ketu remain in these signs until Jan. 8, 2016. During this 18-month transit there will be three times when Rahu
and Ketu are stationary at a particular degree. These are August 24 – November 30, 2014 (25°); March 15 – June 2, 2015
(15°); and September 1 – November 24, 2015 (6°). These can be difficult times worldwide and especially for those
persons, companies, or countries with planets or rising signs close to the transit degrees of Rahu and Ketu. Be sure to
monitor this column during these stationary dates.

Transits for each “Rising sign” (not “Sun sign”):

Aries: Focus on marriage and partnerships and connect these with your parents, property, vehicles, fixed assets and
home life. Expect good fortune with same. Beautify your home and include art, music and flowers and consider a new
car. Be patient with short-lived issues with your children, education and investments. Gain from relationships through
Sept.

Taurus: Connect home life with your children, education, investments, writing, business and communications. Be vigilant
with debts, disputes, and legal or health issues relative to marriage, windfalls, and inheritance. If possible, avoid foreign
travel and be patient with expenses, insomnia and separate sleeping arrangements. Be considerate at work through Oct.

Gemini: The transits remain in your favor. There may be status through marriage, partnerships, joint ventures, children,
education and investments. Work on independent projects and entrepreneurial activities. Expect gains, income and
friendships. Focus on your children, education and investments through Sept. Enjoy relationships for the next 11
months.
Cancer: Work out of your home and on your home. Be vigilant with women, property, vehicles and family life. These are
subject to debts, disputes, legal issues and mental tension. Focus on entrepreneurial activities with writing, business and
communications. Be patient with setbacks and be careful to avoid accidents at home or with transportation through Oct.

Leo: Recent losses, expenses, isolation and separations begin to dissipate, but be patient for a few more days. It may be
better to delay independent projects, partnerships, joint ventures and entrepreneurial expenses through Aug. Focus on
writing, business, and communications. Take care of your children, education and investments over the next 11 months.

Virgo: Consider a retreat, ashram or long distance journey through Aug. Gains are likely through your parents, property,
vehicles and family life. Income is likely through women, the arts, luxuries and entertainment. A windfall, marriage or
inheritance is possible. Be vigilant to avoid debts and disputes through Oct. Expect good fortune over the next 11
months.

Libra: Focus on independent projects and entrepreneurial activities at work. Redecorate your workspace and consider a
new company car. Gain from writing, business and communications, but be patient with short-lived losses and expenses.
Marriage, partnerships and joint ventures should do well. Work with your children, education and investments through
Oct.

Scorpio: Focus on your career, writing, business and communications. Be patient with losses, expenses and separations.
Take care of debts, disputes, legal issues, and your health though Aug. Your parents, property, vehicles and home life
remain vulnerable to expenses and separations through Oct. Expect good fortune over the next 11 months, except Oct.

Sagittarius: Gains, income, or friendships come your way, but these can also be vulnerable and going through
transformations. Your wife or older sibling may be vulnerable as well. Be patient with your career and professional life.
Focus on independent projects through Oct. and consider research and ancient knowledge for the next 11 months.

Capricorn: Be vigilant in the workplace. There may be losses, expenses or separations connected with your spouse or
partner. Get organized, make executive decisions and consider business property joint ventures. Avoid pollution.
Consider long distance ventures. Focus on your career through Oct. and take care of relationships for the next 11
months.

Aquarius: There may be health, legal or financial issues or mental tension for you and your father or with long distance
journeys and entrepreneurial activities. Be patient with short-lived setbacks with relationships. Tell your partner to be
careful to avoid accidents. Take care of your children, income, friendships, and older siblings for the next 11 months.
Pisces: Your spouse or partner may be vulnerable to debts, disputes, and health or legal issues. Be patient at work
through Aug. 22. There may be delays, accidents, setbacks or obstructions. The same holds true for your pets, children,
education and investments through the end of the month. Connect your career with education over the next 11 months.

Note: Some astrologers say that this current transit of Jupiter and Saturn in their exaltation signs of Cancer and Libra
(June 18 – Nov. 2) is an extraordinary occurrence that may bring worldwide positive effects. We also, however, have to
consider the nature of each planet, its strength, house position, and close influences.

During this transit, Jupiter will be weak in infant state degrees, June 18 – July 11. Saturn will be weak in old age degrees,
Sept. 14 -- Nov. 2. Jupiter will also be weak in the sixth, eighth, and twelfth (inauspicious) houses for Aquarius,
Sagittarius and Leo rising signs, respectively; while Saturn will be weak in similar houses for Taurus, Pisces, and Scorpio
rising signs, respectively.

Additionally, the tenth aspect of Saturn on Jupiter (Sept. 25 -- Nov. 19) will cause adverse effects relative to the sixth,
fourth, and tenth houses for Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces rising signs, as Saturn rules their eighth, sixth, and twelfth houses,
respectively.

In essence, this transit is primarily favorable only for Aries, Gemini, Libra and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies,
and countries.
