Importance of speech in communication

Speech is when someone speaks out loud and verbally asks a question or
they express their own opinions, feelings and ideas they may have. It is oral
human communication using language. It is a vocalized form of human
communication, which is the importance and function of words. An example
of this is if a child was to ask me to do there coat up, this is an example of
someone using speech to ask a question.

Language is a preferred way a person want to use when communicating.

Most people speak the language they have been brought up with, for
example English. Language can be understood by using signs, body
language, sign language and gestures to communicate. An example of
language is if a practitioner is telling the children to be quite they would use
a hand gesture by putting their finger on to their mouth. Communication can
be seen in different ways. When someone is communicating with another
person and they have their head down and are talking with a quieter voice,
this shows they are down by looking at their body language and the way
they are communicating with you.

In other words, speech can enable us to communicate emotions more clearly.

It allows us to speak of the real things which are from our imagination.

Why is language important to your speech?

Language is important in your speech because at the most fundamental

level, this is how your audience will understand what you're saying. From the
actual words that come out of your mouth to the points and topics you
articulate, language is the vehicle that helps your audience understand and
agree with your statement or argument.
