MISSION

To provide the opportunity and platform for


young people to develop their character through
learning and expressing values of service, care,
perseverance, resilience, respect and
responsibility so that they grow into well-rounded
individuals who can contribute effectively to
society and the nation.

BACKGROUND

The NYAA Programme


was officially launched at
the Istana on 9th May 1992
by the President of the
Republic of Singapore.

RECOGNISING EFFORTS

After completing the NYAA programme, participants will be


invited to an Award Presentation ceremony. They will receive
a certificate and a badge in recognition for their efforts.

How to participate in the NYAA Programme ?

Each level of the award is autonomous and


participant can choose to enter the level that
Any young person is suitable for their age.

 At the age of 13 to 30 years old can sign up for the programme.

 At the age of 15 years old can enrol directly in the Silver level
 If you have completed the Bronze level, you can register for
the Silver level even though you are below 15 years old.

 At the age of 16 years old can enrol directly in the Gold level
 If you have completed the Silver level, you can register for
the Gold level even though you are below 16 years old.

• Complete NYAA registration form and

•The nominal fee is charged as an


indication of your commitment to the
Programme.
NYAA Template

Upon submission of the registration form, you will


receive an NYAA Template.
You are required to record the details of the activities
for all categories (3 categories for bronze and silver
and 4 categories for gold) in the e-booklet for
submission to NYAA.
 Period of the activity/project
 Hours completed
 Details of the activity/project : name of the
activity/project and give a short description of the
purpose/objectives, experience gained, how the
activity/project has impacted you, reflections and
values learnt, any challenges faced and how you
overcame them and the beneficiaries (if any)

Start planning your activities

Start planning your activities for each category. Work


out a schedule to meet the criteria for each of the
category.

Begin your activities and record your progress in the


template.

Submit your completed NYAA template to Miss Irene


Lee at the end of the year (email the template).

NYAA will notify the school if you have successfully


completed the programme and you will receive a
certificate and a badge.
