4.1 Definition
The Terapista application is an innovation of online booking application that works as a platform for the
customers to get a therapist services via online booking which meet customers schedule and the details
will be according to their sickness phases. The need of this application definitely will avoid the clash of
appointment between the customers with the available therapist and this application also will lighten the
works of admin to arrange the schedule of appointment time and date. This Terapista application can
help customers in doing an online booking practically without had to have an appointment directly at the
therapy centre by themselves which will waste their time and require them to drive there to get for a
treatment or services. The medium to install the Terapista application are via Google play store and App
store which the fee is free for customers to install this application in their mobile phone. The application
does not require more spacing in the memory storage thus the installation can be done easily and faster.
The terms below are the terms that used in technology areas and may easier the readers to
read the overall report.
New product development can be classified into two types. The first is completely new product
and the second one is the improvements on existing products. The writers classify the Terapista by
using Mobile Application for the customers as the completely new product.
There are several types of completely new product such as new-to-the-world products, new to
the firm (new product lines), addition to existing lines, improvements and revisions products, cost
reductions and repositioning. As for this product, we classify it as new product line to the firm. This is
because the customers who need the therapist treatment never use any mobile application to do an
online booking.
An online booking are widely used in education, businesses and travel as well in the industry. The
application can capture the information quickly, can arrange the schedule perfectly, and easily used
via mobile devices. It is also an innovation to avoid the redundant of booking appointment which
more convenient.
This solution is relevant for the problem that faced by the customers of therapy’s centre which is
the clash of appointment with the available therapist they want to have a treatment. It is efficient
ways for customers to apply and use the Terapista application on their mobile devices for a booking
appointment. Moreover, the process of the retrieve and store the data such as the customers’ name,
time and date of appointment, available therapist and so on is also faster and quicker than key-in
manually by the admin of the therapy centre. The Terapista application will be place in the Google
play store for the android user and App store for an iphone user can be installed by customers. Once
the customers had made an online booking, it will automatically store the data into the database.
Thus, customers can check, view and validate the time, date, available therapist and payment
method that they been done. Therefore, it helps any therapist centre to solve the major problems
that they faced.
4.3.3 Concept Testing
Purpose
The purpose of this concept test is to identify whether this appointment online booking
application will be able to cater the need of community including students and employee
attending making booking of appointment to attend therapist centre. This would help to
gather the information whether the application is feasible and usable towards the users.
Sample Population
The target for this concept testing would be the UiTM students and community living in Shah
Alam. This target is the most suitable one for this concept testing as they would know the
location of Al-Amin Therapist Centre and procedures of the current appointment booking
system. This would allow them to make a direct comparison with this appointment online
booking application and allowing them to either give more suggestion or comments for
improvements.
Survey Format
First, we would observe the students and community using the prototype of this application
while giving them a brief explanation of what this application are and can do. After that, we
would interview the students and community on their experience with the prototype. Asking
them further questions such as if the features included is sufficient, is it simple or
complicated to operate and how is the overall experience.

As mentioned on the survey format for the concept testing, we conducted observation and interview
with some of the UiTM students who stayed in college. There are a few of male student and women
student. Both of them are given a brief explanation in details what is the application about and what
functionality it can do which can give them benefits. Then, the students are given the prototype for
them to interact, try and error to using with it.
After that, once the students used the opportunity to do an online booking of the application of the
prototype, the students were questioned on how is their experience about the prototype. Most of
them give a positive feedback towards the prototype of Terapista application by saying it has nice
interface and it is a good platform to being used.
