Mark One Pryme Vessyl: Intelligent Hydration

The gym is one place that could certainly stand to be a little smarter and more efficient with
many intelligent gadgets. I would recommend the one of the useful gadget the Mark One's
Pryme Vessyl is an iPhone-connected cup that's designed to track your daily liquid intake,
making sure you're at your optimal hydration level.

According to Mark One, hitting an ideal hydration level can increase your energy level and
improve your mental balance with paired with an accompanying app, Pryme Vessyl
calculates a user's hydration needs based on height, weight, activity level, and other factors,
making sure that intake level is met by measuring each sip of water or liquid through
accelerometers in the cup itself. It is originated from United States .
The technology used behind it is simple. The pryme vessel will track your water consumption
and let you know important milestones through notifications and reminders. It works similar
to a fitness tracker. A tracker, for instance, will track your total steps and the calories you’ve
burned while active. Once you reach a pre-defined goal it will let you know you were
successful for the day. The Pryme Vessyl does exactly the same, only with water. Once
you’ve had your fill, it will let you know via your phone or smart watch. Also, it has a
surprisingly minimal yet attractive design.

The specification of the pryme vessel are the design, functionality, App and bottom line. For
the design , Mark One's Pryme Vessyl features a clean design that looks like it could have
come out of the Apple design lab. It has a sleek white exterior that's soft and smooth to the
touch with a glass interior. There's plastic at the top of the cup and the lid, which fits into the
top, is also plastic, it is only holds 16 ounces. It does support both hot and cold liquids and it
can be used with or without the lid in place. An LED on the side of the cup can be pressed to
display a line representing how close you are to reaching your daily water intake goal, and it
also lights up when charging the battery.

The functionality is there's an accelerometer built into the Pryme Vessyl, which is what tracks
the water level in the cup and detects whenever a sip is taken so it can be recorded. Built-in
Bluetooth transmits that data to the iPhone, keeping tabs on all of the liquid consumed
through the cup. It tracks as little as 0.5 ounces at a time. The Vessyl can also be turned off
when washing or travelling. With an accelerometer, Bluetooth, and other electronics inside,
the Pryme Vessyl needs to be hand washed The Pryme Vessyl needs to charge every day to
two days, and charging is done inductively through a metal base on the cup that attaches to an
included coaster.

The next one is app. The Pryme Vessyl interfaces with the iPhone using an app (there's also
an Apple Watch add-on). Available for free in the App Store, the Pryme Vessyl app is used to
track how much liquid is consumed during the day. Using input including height, weight, age,
and activity level, the app calculates an ideal hydration level for you. Sleep schedules are also
input so it knows when to track liquid intake, and it should be noted that when the app thinks
you're sleeping, it will not track sips at all. Each sip of water from the Pryme Vessyl is
tracked in the app and fills up a circle that takes up most of the main view. The circle
represents hydration level and the idea is to drink enough liquid to stay at your "Pryme" for
the entirety of the time you're awake. Scrolling downwards displays a timeline of the exact
number of ounces consumed at each point during the day (as tracked by the cup), but the
main circle view of the app doesn't give a picture of overall ounces. The Pryme Vessyl app is
designed to deliver notifications.

The last one is bottom line. Using the Pryme Vessyl to its full potential of liquid consumption
tracking is accurate most of the time. If you're someone who has a hard time remembering to
drink enough water in a day, whether because of a busy schedule, a preference for soda, or
another reason, I guess the Pryme Vessyl has the potential to be a decent investment.
Oculus Go stand alone VR headset

The Oculus go originated from China under Xiaomi branding. Oculus now offers a wire-free,
standalone virtual reality headset in the form of the Oculus Go. This device was originally
announced during the company's Connect 4 conference and is designed to sit between mobile
VR.Oculus Go is an all-in-one headset based on a mobile platform, rather than offer the full
PC experience of the Oculus Rift. Here is what about the headset and the tech.

Hardware and specifications

 190mm x 105mm x 115mm weighing 467g

 Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Mobile VR Platform
 Built-in Lithium-Ion battery capable of two hours gaming or two and a half hours of
video playback
 Three hours charging time via USB Micro-B port
 32GB/64GB storage

There's no phone or PC required, and it's more affordable when compared to existing VR
headsets on the market. It is intended to make VR more accessible to the masses. It's not only
more affordable, but it's also been built specifically to function as a standalone device.

This is an Android-powered device that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Mobile VR
Platform to deliver wire-free VR. The device needs a smartphone (Android or Apple iPhone)
in order to set it up initially but will run on its own afterwards.

A built-in Lithium-Ion battery provides the power and Oculus says on a full charge this
should provide enough juice for two hours gaming or two and a half hours of video playback.
Charging is done via Micro-USB but Oculus recommends not charging the headset while
playing.
LCD display, integrated audio, and positional tracking

 5.5-inch display with 538ppi and 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution

 Fast-switch LCD screen capable of 60Hz or 72Hz refresh rate (app dependent)
 Upgraded lenses improved over Oculus Rift
 Integrated spatial audio speakers and microphone
 3.5mm headphone jack
 Three degrees of freedom head tracking

The focus of the Oculus Go's design is on comfort and an easy gaming experience. As such,
the headset is built with Knit Mesh, Nylon Micro Yarn, Spandex materials - all breathable
fabrics intended to make the headset comfortable to wear for long periods. The company has
designed the headset to be as light as possible with a comfortable fit and weight distribution
via an ergonomic face mask and multiple headstrap fitment.

This VR headset sports a 5.5-inch fast-switch LCD screen capable of 2560 x 1440 WQHD
resolution displaying 538ppi with a 60Hz or 72Hz refresh rate dependent on the content

the arms of the head strap without the need for headphones. The volume of these speakers is
easily adjustable via a volume dial on the top of the headset or you can plug your own
headphones in via the 3.5mm jack for a more private VR experience. A built-in microphone
is also included to allow you to communicate with other Oculus Go users or players when
involved multi-user.

The Oculus Go does not require external tracking devices but uses integrated movement
tracking that allows for three degrees of freedom head tracking. This means it won't track full
range of movement but is capable of tracking the rotation of your head and movement of the
accompanying remote control.  The difference here is you cannot walk around in the VR
environment like you can with other VR headsets but you can still look around and explore
using the controller.
