FILTROS SEPARADORES
OPCIONES DE CARTUCHOS – Filtro de Fibra de Vidrio

FibrSep™
Model FG

 Original filter-sep style element

 Technology has not changed or improved much since the
1950’s
 Utilizes very brittle, fragile fiberglass fibers that have to be
held together using a resin which can close off pore
opening and restrict flow
 Glass tube is not made by filtration companies but rather
purchased from insulation companies so it is not
“engineered” to specific filtration needs
 Media has to be supported with a metal core and end caps
with gaskets to provide good seal in housing
 Media is very susceptible to tearing, especially in high
velocity situations with rigid contaminants such as mole
sieve or desiccants
 As differential pressure through the cartridge increases the Resin holding Click
media, due to its brittleness, can break or separate which fiberglass for
fibers together video
then can cause bypass
 Nominal filtration
 Radial flow path
 Cartridge is suitable for low contaminant load environment /
upset conditions

PEACH® DynaSep™ torturous flow
path pattern
Model PCHG

 Utilizes synthetic polyester or polypropylene fibers;

environmentally friendly materials
 Fibers are thermally bonded without resin
 Very open individual media layers that are folded over itself
multiple times and thermally bonded to create a 3-
dimensional rigid depth structure with open porosity and
high flow permeability
 Media resists bypass under compression
 High contaminant loading capacity
 Intelligent flow pattern with radial, axial and helical flow
provides longer, torturous flow path for gas to take through
the media, further increasing the contaminants probability
of being captured and impacting a fiber
 Integral synthetic end caps provide same durometer as
gasket style without having to mess with metal end caps 3-D depth Click
and gaskets that can fall off during removal and have to be matrix with for
retrieved from bottom of vessel uniform fiber video
 Absolute filtration joints
 Cartridge is suitable for high contaminant load environment
/ upset conditions

REVERSE FLOW COALESCER
Different Approaches in Coalescer Cartridge Designs

 Saturated Depth Coalescing is a unique coalescing concept

PEACH
------------------------- started by PECOFacet
Saturated Depth  It utilizes a depth media structure rather then a pleated
Synthetic structure
 By creating a coalescer using the PEACH manufacturing
process it allows the coalescer to maintain porosity and
permeability
Click to learn more
 This equates to an open matrix with lower pressure drop and
provides energy $ savings
 The coalescer works on the concept of using the fibers
affinity to liquids to saturate the fiber structure and letting the
liquids “hang out” in the depth of the media where they can
coalesce and then drain, by gravity, at their own pace
 The media does not have to be treated to shed the liquids
quickly and keep differential pressure down
 It has been observed that the media saturation also allows
any solids present with the liquids to drain off with the
liquids; making the coalescer virtually self-cleaning
