Liturgist: Why have you gathered here?
People: We have responded to the Gospel of God’s love for us in Jesus Christ.
Liturgist: What do you hope to do here?
People: We hope to be waited with the faithful of all ages in praising the God of love and power.
Liturgist: With what mission will you be sent from this place?
People: To be God’s servant in serving humanity, to spread the Gospel and to resist the power of evil.
All: Let us then draw near to God who promises to forgive us, to fill us with courage, and to be present
with us in this world and in the world to come.

Joyfully Going out to Support God’s Mission
As we serve
Paul wrote to the believers of Ephesus: “Pray… that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given
me…that I will fearlessly make known…the gospel.” Do you pray for your pastor? You should!
Church members have much more to do that go to church as curious, idle spectators to be amused and
entertained. It is their business to pray mightily that the Holy Spirit with power and make his words like
dynamite and be used mightily by God. Let’s pray for our Pastors.
