INTRODUCTORY RITES

COMMENTATOR:
When we celebrate the Holy Eucharist, we remember the Last
Supper. We remember that we are one with Jesus. In our
celebration, the bread and the wine become Jesus, Himself.
At the Last Supper, Jesus friends gathered together in His table to
be with Him. We too are friends of Jesus, gathered together on
His table to be with Him.

We share a special meal with Jesus. This special meal is called

the Holy Eucharist. When we celebrate the Holy Eucharist, we
must always remember that Jesus loves us very much.
Today, our communicants will receive this special meal which is
a memorial sacrifice for forgiveness of our sins.

Here, we participate with, even offer our own lives with the life
of Jesus to the Father in the most perfect sacrifice of love the
world has or will ever see.

Let us all stand to welcome our communicants and greet our

celebrant, Rev. Fr. Raul N. Lapuz and our Parochial Vicar Rev.
Fr. Lucilo Taburada as we sing our entrance song.

ENTRANCE SONG: PAG-AALAALA

ask the blessed Mary Ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and
you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our
God.

sins and bring us to everlasting life.

the real center of their real growth to maturity.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives
and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and
ever.

ALL: AMEN.

COMMENTATOR: Let us all be seated and listen to the Word

LITURGY OF THE WORD READING:

First Reading
A reading from the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians
(1Cor. 11:23-26)

This is what I received from the Lord, and in turn passed on

to you: that on the same night that he was betrayed, the Lord
Jesus took some bread, and thanked God for it and broke it,
and he said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this as a
memorial of me.’ In the same way he took the cup after
supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant of my blood,
whenever you drink it. Do this in memorial of me.’ Until the
Lord comes, therefore, every time you eat this bread and drink
this cup, you are proclaiming his death.

The Word of the Lord.

All Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM:
I love the lord, he is filled with compassion
He turned to me on the day that I called
From the snares of the dark, oh, lord, save my life
Be my strength

Gracious is the lord, and just

Our God is mercy, rest to the weary
Return my soul to the lord our God who bids tears away
I love the Lord

How can I repay the lord for all the goodness he has shown me?
I will raise the cup of salvation and call on his name
I love the Lord

I shall live my vows to you before your people

I am your servant
I will offer you my sacrifice of praise and of pray'r
I love the Lord

I love the lord, he is filled with compassion

He turned to me on the day that I called
From the snares of the dark, oh, lord, save my life
from the snares of the dark, oh, lord, save my life
Be my strength

COMMENTATOR: Please stand to honor the Holy Gospel.

ALLELUIA SONG
GOSPEL:

PRIEST: The Lord be with you.

ALL: And with your Spirit.

Priest: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St.

Mark (10:13-16)
ALL: + Glory to you Lord.

PRIEST: Jesus said: ‘I am the living bread which has come

down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live
forever; and the bread that I shall live is my flesh, for the life
of the world.’ Then the Jews started arguing with one another:
‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’ they said. Jesus
replied: ‘I tell you most solemnly, if you do not eat the flesh of
the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life
in you. Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood
has eternal life, and I shall raise them up on the last day. For
my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Those who
eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in
them. As I, who am sent by the living Father, myself draw life
from the Father, so whoever eats me will draw life from me.’

The Gospel of the Lord.

All Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ

HOMILY:

THE PROFESSION OF FAITH:

COMMENTATOR:
In this part of Baptismal vows, the communicants will express to
the Lord Jesus their eagerness to have a close relationship with
Him forever. Candles are lighted to symbolize the presence of
Jesus must be light of the world.

COMMENTATOR: COMMUNICANTS, please

stand to renew your baptismal promises.

PRIEST: Dear Children, you are now going to renew your

Baptismal promises. On the day of your baptism, the priest asked
you, “Do you renounce Satan? Do you promise to follow Jesus
Christ?” You were then too small to answer yourselves. Instead,
your parents and godparents answered for you. Today, Mother
Church will ask you the same questions and this time you will
make the promises yourselves with your whole heart and with
your whole mind.

PRIEST: Do you reject Satan?

COMMUNICANTS:I DO.

PRIEST: And all his works?

COMMUNICANTS: I DO.

PRIEST: And all his empty promises?

COMMUNICANTS: I DO.

PRIEST: Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator

of Heaven and Earth?
COMMUNICANTS:I DO.

PRIEST: Do you believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our

Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and
was buried; rose from the dead and is now seated at the right
hand of the Father?
COMMUNICANTS:I DO.

PRIEST: Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic

Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
COMMUNICANTS:I DO.

PRIEST: God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus

Christ, has given us new birth by the water and the Holy Spirit
and has forgiven all our sins. May He also keep us faithful to our
Lord Jesus Christ forever and ever.
ALL: AMEN.

COMMENTATOR: All first communicants can now blow off your

candles.

SANCTUS
COMMENTATOR: Let us all kneel…

God our Father, Blessed be Jesus, whom you sent to be the

friend of children and of the poor. He came to show us how
we can love you, Father, by loving one another. He came to
take away the sin, which keeps us from being friends and
make us all unhappy. God our Father, we now ask you to send
your Holy Spirit, to be with us always so that we can live as
your children. God our Father, we now ask you to send your
Holy Spirit to change these gifts of bread and wine into the
body and blood of Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

That night before He died, Jesus your Son, showed us how

much You love us. When he was at supper with His
disciples, He took bread, and gave you thanks and praise.
Then He broke the bread, gave it to His friend, and said:
“Take this all of you and eat it, this is my body which will be
given up for you.”

When supper was ended, Jesus took the cup that was filled with
wine, He thanked you gave it to His friends and said, “Take
this all of you, and drink from it. This is the cup of my blood,
the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed
for you and for all so that sins maybe forgiven. Do this in
memory of me.”

Let us proclaim the mystery of faith.

MEMORIAL ACCLAMATION (to be sung)

Spirit to all of us who share in this meal. May this Spirit

All the other clergy and all who serve your people.

Priest: Remember also our brothers and sisters who have

fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have
died in Your mercy: welcome them into the light of your
mercy: Welcome them into the light of face. Have mercy on
us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of
God, with the Blessed Apostles, and all the saints who have
pleased you throughout the ages, we may merit to be coheirs
to eternal life, and may praise and glorify You through Your
Son, Jesus Christ.
