Operating panel – Function switch
At the operating panel you will be working mostly with the function switch
(Label: MAN-0-AUTO). With this switch you will enable or disable different
of functions that the machine can perform.

AUTO mode: When the function switch is at the position “AUTO”,


machine will enable function as:
Start/stop, Indicated from the photocell or external start signal.
Mixsafe, Pressure guard, checks that pressure are within limits.
Purge, Drying protection, purge for a few seconds with a certain interval.
Alarms, Alarm as “Pressure alarm”, Matrix position.

0 mode: At “0” mode position are following functions enable:


Dosage test, Manoeuvre of the “dosage test” –handle will order the
machine to start the glue pump (Glue valve will not open). Be careful with
this manoeuvre if you recently cleaned the machine, make sure that the
out going valves ( To the applicator ) are closed.

MAN mode: In the same time as the switch is turned to “MAN” position
machine will start glue, the manual manoeuvre force opening of glue valve
and starts the glue pump. If you have an alarm you can also use the
manual mode to reset an active alarm.

General:
Glue counter, System that measure the amount of glue that the machine
pumps out.

Operating panel – Touch terminal
The operating panel is equipped with a Terminal where you have your
interface for machine settings and monitoring if pressure.
The purpose of the panel is for operators to have a logic, variable view
and automatic monitoring of alarms that are required for the system.

Following pages describes how to manoeuvre the panel, thru


menus and changing settings.

Touch terminal - Overview

Step 1: Production setup

Main
On the main screen you choose your language then touching the “Continue” –button.

Production setup
By these settings you will regulate the start and stop time for gluing. To make the
setup most easy we recommend that you begin with the stop time. At the “Production
setup” page you are able to set the “Glue pump speed. Don’t forget to save our
values after setup by touching the “Recipe” –button.

Wheel down/up: Position on the input line where the whell goes up or down. These
values must be adjusted to the product running. This function linked to dynamic
mode on.

Glue amount settings: These values will be used to alarm/warn at specified levels.
These values are also used at page 7.

Empty lamella: If this function should be used.

No glue on lamella: If first or last lamella should be without glue

No of lamellas/beam: Counter to know when first or last lamella on the beam.

Lamella counter: Counter of lamellas for this beam

The following steps show the procedure that must be followed before starting.

of system pressure, glue consumption and machine status

Changing settings

Login/changing values:
To be able to access changeable values you have to verify that you are permitted by
the correct password. From the “Main” – menu you can find the login button, by
touching this button you will enable the login form where you can type in requested
password, push the “enter” button and you will confirm your password.

Machine setup password is: 1212

Logout:
After you have done your setup it is important that you Logout from the system.
Otherwise you will have problem with unknown people changing values that they
don’t know about.

Recipe handling

Save settings/recipe:
When you are finished with your setup it may be necessary to save your settings, i.e.
if you most of the time are changing between 3 different values.
By touching the “Save settings” –button you will save the values to the recipe
name/number that you have written on the recipe page. When you want to make a
new recipe you go to the recipe side, you chose a number that it not paired with a
name (do not chose 0, then it will disappear). Then enter the name of the recipe by
touching the colum next to Name, type in the name (i.e. “Start Stop 20m-min”), push
the “enter” button, and do not forgot to touch “Save settings” –button.

Load settings/recipe:
With the “Arrows” –button you will pick up the values that are saved to the specific
name/number that you have chosen.

Change settings/recipe:
If you want to change the values or the name of the recipe you just choose it and set
the new values/name for it and save over it by touching the “Save settings” -button.

Important!

Do not forget to switch number/recipe before saving to another recipe. Then all your
values will be saved in the already chosen recipe.

Delete recipe:
To delete the recipe file that are stored in the
SD card you go in to the recipe info menu by
touching the “Recipe handling” -button.
A “Select drive” window will show up, touch the
“A:SD card” –button (1).
Now you will see the Maps and files that are
located in the SD card. Here you choose the
“Project 1” map (2).
1. And then the “recipe” map (3).
In this map you select the recipe file you want to
delete (4).
You then delete the file by touching the “Del” –
button (5).
Leave the screen by touching the “X” –button in
the upper right.

Pressure “alarm” settings


These settings are for monitoring the system pressure; the settings are general for
both glue and hardener. If pressure is exceeds these limits the system will generate
an alarm.
The sensitiveness of the alarm can be regulated by the “Pressure alarm time”.
!IMPORTANT! The alarm will not function if this value is set to high.

Other settings
Max gluing time. Limit for how long time the glue valve can be open.
Motor off delay timer. Tells the system how long the motor should run after a gluing
has been done.
Purge setting This “Interval and On Time” makes the purge pulse at the time the
machine is in auto mode.
Moisterung spray: Similar in function as purge, but with shorter intervals. Used on
some machines that need a water shower to prevent hardening of the glue.
Total counter, reset. At the time you are touching the”RESET” button you will set the
“total counter” to zero.
