YB-150 Manual

I Main Technical Parameters

1.1 We take the newest generation of 5inch colorful touch screen,


with a beautiful appearance and clear operation interface.
1.2 It can measure packaging length, without any measurement by
hand, thus it saves adjustment time.
1.3 It has a color code localization function. Only by touching the
screen slightly, you can move photoelectric eye instead of operating
by hand.
1.4 It takes a special photoelectric catching and correction
technology to improve photoelectric precision. Dark and shallow
colors can be identified automatically instead of switching
photoelectric eye.

1.5 It can store 8 common products’ parameters and it is convenient
to get these information if produce in the next time.
1.6 It takes the method of angle adjustment to realize electric cam’s
function, so that feed and vibration cams and proximity switch is
not needed any more.
1.7 Functions of Quantitative Alarm and Quantitative Stop
1.8 It has functions of no fill stop and no film stop.
1.9 It has localization stop function. When it stops, the seal cutter
shall open to keep the film from scalding.
1.10 Touch the screen and you can realize adjustment of vibration
time and forces.
1.11 The colorful touch screen is integrated with a controller, with a
simple structure and less malfunctions.
1.12 The menu can be switched among languages of Chinese,
English, Arabic and Russian and it is suitable internationally.
1.13 It can diagnose malfunctions intelligently and show error
locations in Chinese (e.g. photoelectric error, timeout error, etc).
1.14 All controls are realized by software procedures and it is
convenient to adjust functions and update technologies.
1.15 Main board is produced by SMT technology with a stable
performance.

II Basic Operation of Touch Screen

This system takes colorful touch screen to show mechanical


operation information and parameters, e.g. bag length, packaging
speed and packaging quantity, etc. All visible information can be
operated by touching. Only touch the characters you what to know
or revise slightly, the parameters shall show automatically, then you
can begin related operations.

How to use the touch screen correctly?

1. Touch the screen by your forefinger or middle finger slightly,


characters or pictures shall appear.
2. Touch the centre of character or picture as possible as you
can.
3. Touch duration shall be 0.5~1.5s.
4. It’s prohibited to touch screen with a sharp object, keeping
from screen damaging.

III Automatic Running

Power on packaging machine, the followings shall be shown on

the screen:

Touch and enter into “Run” interface as shown


below:

On this interface, some real time information such as weight,


packing length, count, speed and status shall be shown and
operations such as Run/Stop, JOG, Photoelectricity ON/OFF,
Filling ON/OFF, Color location, Count, Length measurement and
Return shall be realized.

A fast operation method is provided as below:

3.1 Touch , the packaging machine shall run. When this


button turns to and status column shows Start, indicating
the packaging machine is running. Then Count column starts to
work and Speed column shows current packaging speed, thus you
can know the production capacity per minute of this machine.
3.2 Touch , you will enter into the page of “Screw
filling setting” quickly and adjust each parameter.
3.3 If reset is needed, please touch , “Reset” page
shall pop up and indicate: Do you need to reset? Press “No” for quit;
Press “Yes” for reset and the system shall count from 0. Note:
Cutting and quantitative stop also shall count from 0.
3.4 shows current work status of photoelectric eye.
Touch this button, it shall change between “On” and “Off”. If color
code is printed on film, make sure switch ON this button, otherwise,
photoelectric following-up shall not be realized. This button is only
used to close off photoelectric eye temporarily if adjustment is
needed. During normal working, it’s better not to touch this button.
3.5 When replace packaging films in different lengths with color
codes you can press button, the computer shall
measure the film length automatically when it starts, without
inputting “Packing length” by hands. If the cutters didn’t cut on the
color code, you can touch button or button to adjust
cutting location and make sure the cutters cutting on color code
properly.
3.6 During running, if stop is needed, please touch button,

the machine shall stop.
Important safety tips: please press “Stop” button (It usually is a red
mushroom shape) on the machine, if in emergency, instead of touch
button on screen, because it takes shorter time to press
“Stop” button on the machine.
3.7 Only in stop state, functions of “Manual film-drawing” and
“JOG” in this page shall be effective and they are useful during
machine adjustment. Touch all the time, film-drawing
motor shall work and the packaging film machine shall fill slowly.
When other transmission mechanisms of the machine stop, move
away your finger from the screen and the film-drawing motor shall
stop.
3.8 “Filling” button: for a powder model machine fed with a screw,
you need to enter into “Screw filling setting” page and switch on
“Screw motor”, this button shall be effective. It is used to switch off
“filling” temporarily.

IV Parameter Setting

Touch , the screen shall show the following


information:

When quickly switching to pack different products, for customers’


convenience, it is designed a “Procedure No.” storage function in
this system. It can store 8 common products’ parameters and it is
convenient to get these information if produce in the next time.
4.1 When packaging a new product for the first time, it needs to
adjust the following parameters. Firstly, select a procedure number,
e.g. this machine has packaged 2 kinds of products until now and
the parameters are stored in Product “1” and “2” , at this time, you
should select Procedure “3” and store product parameters in
Product “3”, instead of overlapping the parameters of Product “1”
and “2”. Then, you can modify the shown parameters on screen.
4.2 The black character under white background after each
parameter name shows current parameter value, touch the column, a
small numerical keyboard shall appear as below:

Touch numbers on the small numerical keyboard, you will get the
needed parameter value, e.g. if you want to set “Packing length” to
be 200, you need to touch three keys of 2-0-0, then press “Enter” ,
thus “Packing length” is revised to be 200.
When it needs to modify any input digit during inputting, please
press to clear it off. If you don’t want to save the input data,
you can press “Quit” and leave the small keyboard.
4.3 Detail Parameter Meanings:
4.3.1 “Packing length” refers to the length of product bag which
needs to be packaged, in a unit of millimeter (mm), e.g. input 200
for 200mm. It is designed a fully automatic length measurement
function for this system. If color code is printed on package film,
you can ignore this step. Press “Length measurement” key firstly
and then press “Start” key, the system shall measure the film length
automatically. Notes: For the same length package films, only press
“Length measurement” for one time is OK. It’s not necessary to
press “Length measurement” every time.
4.3.2 “Film-drawing speed” can adjust the speed of film-drawing
machine and it is proper to follow up the packing speed of

packaging machine. If slower, film-drawing shall be more
successful; but if too slow, missing packaging shall appear.
4.3.3 “Cutting angle” refers to when the cutter begins to revolve. It
is adjustable when proximity switch contacts at 0 degree or 300
degree. Normally, it is 100~170 degree.
4.3.4 “Cutting period” refers to the electrified duration of
electric-magnetic valve and pneumatic cutter.
4.3.5 “Cutting count” refers to how many bags shall be produced if
cutting one time when packaging N bags so as to realize many bags
are hung in a cluster.
4.3.6 “Triangle angle” refers to when the triangle horizontal seal
cutter begins to close. It is adjustable when proximity switch
contacts at 0 degree or 300 degree. Normally, it is 100~150 degree.
4.3.7 “Quantitative stop” refers to that the machine shall alarm
automatically when packaging count reaches the set value, at the same
time, status column shows “Quantitative alarm”. The valve shall be
0~30,000 bags. When this parameter is set to be 0, “Quantative alarm”
shall be ineffective. If some batch of products needs to pack a proper
quantity, you can set this parameter to be the value of “Quantitative
alarm”, when the set value is reached, the machine shall stop
automatically. In this case, man’s waiting time is saved. Precaution: the
quantity that have been finished shall not be erased off if “Stop” key is
pressed in the halfway, however, it shall be erased off if “Zero” key is
pressed.
4.4 Touch “Screw filling setting” and enter into screw filling setting
page, you can set parameters, e.g. filling weight, etc.

4.4.1 “Weight setting” means to set pulse quantity of screw motor
actually, that is, the turns of screw motor, so as to adjust filling weight.
Press “+” and “-” on the right for one time, the weight valve shall
increase or decrease 1 and the weight can be finely tuned.
4.4.2“JOG filling”, press this key constantly, screw motor shall revolve
slowly. Loosen it, the machine shall stop. This function shall be used to
clear off the residue material from screw.
4.4.3 “Filling speed” is used to adjust the revolving speed of screw
motor. If it is too fast, the torque of screw stepping motor shall become
smaller and affect filling precision. It is proper to follow up the
revolving speed of whole machine.
4.4.4 “Filling angle” refers to the angle at which screw motor starts
(that is when the screw motor begins to revolve). It is adjustable
when proximity switch contacts at 0 degree or 300 degree.
Normally, it is 90~220 degree.
4.4.5 “Screw motor switch”, refers to when it starts for a powder model
machine and when it stops for a particle model machine; for a powder
model machine, only when this button is ON, the “Filling” button in
“Run” page, it shall be useful. What’s more, when this button is OFF

(for particle model machine), only when the machine stops and starts
again, it can produce a bag again.
4.4.6 “Return”, the page shall return to “Run” page if “Return” key
is pressed after entering into the page of “Screw filling setting” at a
quick method in “Run” page.

V Auxiliary Switch

Touch , the screen shall show the following pictures:

5.1 “Triangle bag color matching” is only used for triangle bag
machine. Triangle bag machine has two groups of seal cutters:
front/back and left/right cutters. During normal working, these two
groups of cutters shall work alternatively. Sometimes, it’s necessary
to fix a group of cutters to be corresponding to the pattern on
package film, in this case, you can realize it if press this button.
5.2 “Temperature/Stir switch”, it is a switch for Y3 output. It
controls temperature for some machines and controls stirring for the
other machines.
5.3 “Inflate angle” refers to when it begins to inflate. It is adjustable
when proximity switch contacts at 0 degree or 300 degree.

Normally, it is 150~190 degree.
5.4 “Inflate time” refers to the duration to inflate constantly for
each bag, that is the period for an electric-magnetic valve to inflate.
It usually takes 0.2 seconds. ON/OFF switch on the right has the
function of open and close this function.
5.5 “Front vibrat angle” refers to when it begins to vibrate. It is
adjustable when proximity switch contacts at 0 degree or 300
degree. Normally, it is 180~220 degree.
5.6 “Front vibrating time” refers to the duration for each bag to
vibrate constantly. ON/OFF switch on the right has the function of
open and close this function.
5.7 “Front vibrat power” is used to adjust front vibrating force, with a
scope from 0 to 9. Vibrating force shall be bigger if this value is bigger.
5.8 “Back vibrat power” is used to adjust back vibrating force, with a
scope from 0 to 9. Vibrating force shall be bigger if this value is bigger.
The duration of back vibration is decided by back vibrating
photo-electricity. It shall begin to vibrate when the photoelectric eye
finds there is no material any more in filling hopper and it shall stop
vibrating when the hopper is full. 3 minutes later, if full material signal
is not released, the screen shall show: “Back vibration is overtime,
please check back vibration photo-electricity.” And the machine shall
stop vibrating automatically after 5 minutes so as to prevent the vibrator
from permanent damaging. ON/OFF switch on the right has the
function of open and close this function.

VI System Setting

Touch , the screen shall show the following pictures:

6.1 Normally, it’s not necessary to modify any parameter in this


page for end customers when using this packaging machine. Be
cautious before modifying, if necessary.
6.2 “Language”, you can select languages such as Chinese, English,
Arabic and Russian, etc.
6.3 “System setting” refers to the model coefficient of film-drawing
wheel. It is used to calibrate and show the consistency between
packaging length and actual film-drawing length. It has a direct
relationship with the perimeter of film-drawing wheel and the fine
fraction of driver.
6.4 “Stop delay” refers to main motor shall revolve for a short time
after “Stop” button is pressed, keeping seal cutter in an open state
and accounting when main axle cam contacts proximity switch.
When this value is 0, it shall not delay. Main motor shall stop
revolving if “Stop” button is pressed. Usually, the seal cutter shall
open when the value is set to be 1. If not, you can set a bigger value
in this column, but it’s not proper to set a too big value.

6.5 “S3’s function” is used to exchange functions among different
machines. Its default is 0. It has a function of back vibration
photo-electric input, e.g. In Beijing, machines are usually equipped
with electric motor cutter, that is known as “Electric cutter”, in this
case, please set the value of “S3’s function” to be 1.
6.6 “Accumulative count” refers to the stored packaging quantity of
this time when the machine is powered off and the number shall be
counted accumulatively when the machine is powered on next time.
6.7 “Calibration of touch screen”, when the touch location is not
precise, you can press this button. You can calibrate the touch
screen in accordance with the tips when white “+” appears on the
screen.
6.8 “Other settings” is as below:

6.8.1 “Backlight setting” refers to that set the time of highlight for
touch screen. Input related time (unit: minute); the screen shall
become dark if running for a period of time so as to save energy
and prolong life time. (0 stands for backlight always keeping
highlight.)
6.8.2 “Triangle mode” is only used in triangle bag machines. It
refers to two groups of seal cutters of triangle bag work

alternatively or only the group of “front/back” works (becomes
back seal machine).
6.8.2 “Startup film-drawing” refers to that draw film for one time
when the machine starts up. This function is usually not necessary.
Please set it to be “OFF”.
6.9 “Alarm parameter setting” is shown as below:

6.9.1 “Photo-electricity stop” can be set during packaging. The


machine shall stop automatically when photo-electricity cannot be
found for several times, thus non-conforming products can be
decreased. Usually, it is set to be “2 times”. It can be ignored in
case of photo-electricity cannot be found only for one bag
occasionally. The machine shall stop automatically if the
photo-electricity cannot be found for 2 times in succession.
6.9.2 “Timeout stop” refers to that the controller doesn’t receive
any signal from proximity switch, the machine shall alarm and stop
automatically. If main axle cam doesn’t contact with proximity
switch, usually the main motor doesn’t revolve or the proximity
switch is damaged.
6.9.3 “No fill stop” refers to that packaging machine shall stop

when back vibration photoelectric input doesn’t receive full fill
signal within a period of time and judges it no fill. When this value
is 0, if the signal is not received all the time, alarm shall be sounded
after 3 minutes and back vibration shall be closed after 5 minutes,
however, the machine shall not stop.
6.9.4 “No film stop” refers to that automatic stop can be set if
packaging film is used up.
6.10 “Factory setting” is only used for manufacturers. It’s not
suggested to modify this value.

VII Common Error Tips and Treatment

“Status” column in “Run” page shall show all states of packaging


machine, e.g. when the following error tips appear, you can try to
use the following methods to remove troubles:
7.1 “Photoelectric error”
① When status column shows “Photoelectric error!” with
“tick-tick-” alarming sound, please adjust the sensitivity of
photoelectric eye. Too high or too low sensitivity of photoelectric
eye shall cause malfunctions.
② Inconsistency between set value and actual value of
packaging lengths will lead to malfunctions. But, this system has
been designed “Function of automatic length measurement”. If
color code is printed on your package, it’s suggested to use “Length
measurement” in “Run” page to measure the packaging length
automatically.
③Please set “Photo-electricity” to be OFF if color code is not
printed on your bag.
7.2 “Timeout error”
When status column shows “Timeout error!” with “tick-tick-”
alarming sound, it may be the problems of that main motor didn’t
revolve or proximity switch is damaged. If main motor didn’t
revolve, please check actuation of AC contactor.
7.3 “Film-drawing OFF”
For convenience of adjustment, sometimes “Film-drawing switch”
is switched OFF. The status column shall show “film-drawing
OFF!” when the machine starts up again. Film-drawing motor shall
not revolve. If adjustment is finished and normal production can be

started, please enter into “Auxiliary switch” page and set
“film-drawing switch” to be ON.
7.4 “Quantitative stop”
Malfunctions: Packaging machine shall stop and status column
shall show “Quantitative stop!” when a proper number of packaging
work is finished. Please confirm that whether you are using the
function of “Quantitative stop”. If not, please modify the value of
quantitative stop in the page of “Product parameters” to be 0 and set
the “Quantitative stop” to be OFF, this problem shall be resolved.

Declaration: Please understand that actual operation may be


different from above instruction in some places, for continuous
improvement and update of different machines and control systems!
