INTRODUCTION
For my this year’s holiday personal project I have decided to choose the
topic: ERADICATE EXTREME POVERTY AND HUNGER. I have chosen this as my
project because we are currently living in a world with extreme poverty and
child labour crisis.
My personal project is focused on a way in which we can relate to it and tell
the society that we can do something about it and create a valid outcome in
order to erase the problem.
The personal project which I am developing is directly related to the global
context “Poverty is a major threat to the economy and the society.” Among
other issues this context invites us to explore that how can poverty be a
major threat to the people at large and affect the economy negatively.

What is the Personal Project?

Before I start my presentation it is important to tell you what an personal
project actually is? A Personal project is a significant body of work produced
over an extended period. It is also a product of our own initiative,
knowledge, research and creativity.

1. What is Poverty?

As everything in my personal project revolves around the idea

and concept of no poverty it is really very important to
understand about the key word: POVERTY.

Poverty is the state of being inferior in quality or insufficient

in amount due to unemployment or in simple words it is
about not having enough money to meet the basic needs such
as food, shelter or clothing.

2. Identifying a goal for my personal project

It was a very hard thing for me to conclude with a goal and thereafter
research and make a project on it. It took me almost two days to find a
goal for my project as I was researching about every goal and decided
to choose the goal Poverty as it was a bit challenging for thinking the
outcome.

While thinking and researching, I decided not to focus on a particular

city, state or country instead take worldwide data and research how
every country is suffering from poverty. My main goal was creating a
good outcome which will be told later.

I knew some things about the topic like the debt crisis, global economic
crisis, inflation, poverty and food crisis as in 2010 the prices of
vegetables and fruits increased by 21%, tax increase in south America,
terror problems in middle eastern countries, population problems in
South Asian countries and illegal immigration problems in the Europe,
all these are related to poverty.
