to do this, select parameter 6 in function F16 in
generic term 10.

Briefly press the forward creep speed button to

synchronize the rear shaft.

Turn the weaving machine to 0° and check the LED

on the synchronization monitoring function (see
chapter 851.1R).

Caution! Always turn off the main switch

before replacing plug-in mod
ules, fuses, peripheral equip
5 ment etc. as well as connecting
and disconnecting plug connec
tions.

Turn main switch to "0" and secure with personal pad-

lock to prevent inadvertent switching on.

Remove earthing strip and roll away the control cabi-

net.

Remove protective covers and their supports from

creep speed drive.

Remove cover plate above the rapier drive on the

right.

pick finding clutch
5
X6 Using the appropriate ejection tool (art. no. 927 299
239), push the cable strands of pins 1 and 4 out of
3 connector X6 (PCB board in the control cabinet).

Note the colours of the leads and the corresponding

connections.

Disconnect stuffing box 47 on housing plate.

Fasten a piece of string approx. 1 m long to the end

of the cable. This makes it easier to pull the connect-
ing cable through during assembly work.

Undo screws 48 and remove magnetic coil 49 very

carefully out of housing plate 22, so as not to dam-
age the connecting cable and the cable strand pins.

Then remove the string from the connecting cable; it

49 stays in the housing plate until the magnetic coil is fit-
ted.

48

22

Assembly is in reverse sequence. But make sure that

when inserting magnetic coil 49 its connecting cable
can be pulled into the hole with the string left in hous-
ing plate 22 without being deflected.

Mounting the drive housing
18
Coat the bearing surfaces of the housing plate evenly
with sealer.

Fit the previously assembled drive housing 11 and

align with housing plate by means of two long screws.
At the same time, push the two ball bearings 51 with
11 19 the aid of a washer and threaded spindle onto the
shaft until the drive housing can be secured to the
51 housing plate with both set screws 18 and then with
screws 19.

Caution! When fitting the drive housing,

make sure that the teeth of the
spur wheel and those of the ra-
18 ce ring mesh smoothly and do
not jam.

Note: To install the two ball bearings with the drive

housing, you will need a threaded spindle M16
x 150 mm with washer and nut.

Replace the threaded spindle by screw 16.

51 Fix ball bearing 51 with washer and screw 16.
