AUTOMATIC DRUNK AND DRIVE VEHICLE LOCKING BY

WITHOUT USING HELMETS

- This project consists of the following operation

1. Ignition opens by using helmets

2. Fuel supply open by using helmets
3. Alchocal sensing alarm

SYNOPSIS

The main aim of our project is to lock/unlock the devices by using helmets of
the passenger. It’s highly safe control of the devices from other person. Due to the rapid
development in the field of science and technology, many more advancements have been
made in automation and controlling the hardware can adopt this technique.

This technique is not only applicable to vehicle but also to control the various
appliances in home. This marvelous technique is highly confidential as we are the only
persons who can access the whole system and control various activities through helmets
in Frequency modulation techniques.

AUTOMATIC ALCOHOL DETECTOR is a project to intimate the alarm signal when

there are any alcohols drinking drive. Driving while either intoxicated or drunk is

dangerous and drivers with high blood alcohol content (BAC) are at increased risk of car

accidents, highway injuries and vehicular deaths. Prevention measures evaluated include
license suspension or revocation, impounding or confiscating vehicle plates, enforcing

open container bans, increasing penalties such as fines or jail for drunk driving,

mandating education for young people, and lowering legal BACs. Also discussed are

safety seat belts, air bags, designated drivers, and effective practical ways to stay sober.

Furthermore, the plan will urge the implementation of safety and health education by
employers with regard to fire safety in multiple-tenant buildings with small businesses.
At the same time, it will seek all-embracing strategies to prevent explosion and fire
accidents, including measures to prevent dust explosions caused by magnesium alloys. In
our project is “AUTOMATIC ALCOHOL DETECTOR” used to senses the gas
leakage and indicates the alarm with indication.

INTRODUCTION

The F.M transmitter is fixed in the helmet. The frequency signal is passed only
the vehicle operator wearing the helmet time. This signal is received by the F.M receiver
unit which is fixed in the vehicle side. The F.M receiver will activate the relay when the
vehicle operator wearing the helmet times. This relay will activate the fuel supply and
ignition of the vehicle.

This is an era of automation where it is broadly defined as replacement of manual

effort by mechanical power in all degrees of automation. The operation remains an

essential part of the system although with changing demands on physical input as the

degree of mechanization is increased.

Degrees of automation are of two types, viz.

Full automation.

Semi automation.

In semi automation a combination of manual effort and mechanical power is

required whereas in full automation human participation is very negligible.

NEED FOR AUTOMATION:

Automation can be achieved through computers, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics,

etc., of these sources, pneumatics form an attractive medium for low cost automation.

Automation plays an important role in automobile.

Nowadays almost all the automobile vehicle is being atomized in order to product

the human being. The automobile vehicle is being atomized for the following reasons.

 To achieve high safety

 To reduce man power

 To increase the efficiency of the vehicle

 To reduce the work load

 To reduce the vehicle accident

 To reduce the fatigue of workers

 To high responsibility

 Less Maintenance cost

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The F.M transmitter is fixed in the helmet. The frequency signal is passed only the

vehicle operator wearing the helmet time. This signal is received by the F.M receiver unit

which is fixed in the vehicle side. The F.M receiver will activate the relay when the

vehicle operator wearing the helmet times. This relay will activate the fuel supply and

ignition of the vehicle

TRANSMITTER CIRCUIT:

The transmitter is made to activate with the supply from a 9volt battery.
When Push Button is switched on, 9Volt is supplied to the Frequency modulator.
The frequency modulator modulates the base hand signal by using a proper carrier
frequency. The output of the modulator is given to a high power amplifier to raise
the modulated signal. This modulated signal is then fed to the transmitting
antenna.
RECEIVER CIRCUIT:

The transmitted signal is received by the receiving aerial at the motor

end. The received signal contains unwanted energy, which is usually termed as

noise. The noise affects the receiver sensitivity. So the noise should be filtered,
this filtering is done by the low noise amplifier block. This weak signal is now

amplified so that it turns the relay circuit ON (i.e.) to activate the main contractor.

The alcohol sensor senses the alcohol contents of the vehicle or air. This sensing

signal is given to the microcontroller unit. When there are no alcohol contents in the air,

there is no signal given to the microcontroller unit.

In our 12 volt power supply is used. The power supply output is given to the

control unit. Control unit having three relays, they are connected to the alarm unit.

Initially the reference voltage is set with the help of the variable resistance. The alcohol

contents is sensed by the sensor and this control signal is given to the microcontroller unit

ADVANTAGES:

Using a single transmitter can control many appliances like ignition, light, fuel supply.

It is very economical.

As we said earlier it is easy to control the vehicle.

Receiving problem is restricted.

This project provides another facility to change the transmitter and receiver.
This circuit detects the alcohol directly

This circuit is simple in construction.

Responsibility of the circuit is high.

DISADVANTAGES:

The intermediate frequency will affect the system

Additional cost is required for doing the automation

All car owners

Drivers

APPLICATIONS:

All Two wheeler applications

Four wheeler application

Automobile manufacturing industrial applications

The sensor circuit is senses the particular amount of alcohol content.
