D. E. Shaw Research is a New York-based interdisciplinary research group pursuing an ambitious, long-
term project aimed at achieving major scientific advances in the field of computational biochemistry.
Among the group's current activities is the development of specialized supercomputers designed to
transform the process of drug discovery.

We are looking for individuals to work in our Hyderabad office for the Operations and Recruitment
team. OR-DESRES supports D. E. Shaw Research in a wide variety of functions that include but are not
limited to recruitment, scientific/market research, reporting and statistical analyses, and infrastructure
management.

Primary responsibilities of an OR-DESRES Associate:

- Ideating strategies to recruit distinguished individuals specializing in computational chemistry,

hardware architecture and computer science.
- Recruitment operations such as processing applications, handling queries, screening and contacting
candidates.
- Administration of the group’s advertising, marketing efforts, and vendor management.
- Coordinating on-campus career fairs, research talks, and conferences.
- Researching and presenting relevant literature to DESRES scientists on drug discovery projects.
- Preparing reports by analyzing operational, recruitment and technical data.
- Maintaining in-house tools and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate (in any discipline) with excellent communication skills, keen
attention to detail, an analytical bent of mind and a willingness to learn.

Compensation Offered: 18.5 – 19.5 lacs per annum.

* Lower amount is guaranteed, higher amount is dependent on performance.
** The amount under the long term incentive program will be payable in four instalments at the end of each calendar year in
the ratio of 10%, 20%, 30% and 40%; the first payment being due in December 2019. All payments, under this program, are
contingent on your being employed by the company when the award is paid out, and is subject to the terms and conditions of
the program.
