GENERAL DAILY SCHEDULE SUGGESTION:

An Idea on How to Structure The Day

By 9:00 Wake-up Eat breakfast, get dressed, brush teeth. A great time to work on self-help skills
9:00-10:00 Morning Exercise Go for a walk, play outside, ride a bike, yoga etc. (Also a time to incorporate PT related
goals if applicable.)
10:00-10:30 FM/Speech Activities Refer to OT and Speech hand-outs and/or websites if applicable. If not, play a game or read
a book together.
10:30-12:00 Academic Time Reading, writing, math, science, & social studies refer to hand-outs and/or websites. (Also a
time to incorporate Speech and OT related goals if applicable).
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-2:00 Academic Time Reading, writing, math, science, & social studies refer to hand-outs and/or websites. (Also a
time to incorporate Speech and OT related goals if applicable).
2:00-3:00 Creative Time Drawing, coloring, play-doh, arts and crafts (refer to OT hand-outs and/or websites if
applicable).
3:00-4:00 Afternoon Exercise Go for a walk, play outside, ride a bike, yoga etc. (Also a time to incorporate PT related
goals if applicable).
4:00-5:30 Chores/Quiet Time Functional life skills of helping with meal prep and cleaning-up around the house. Also a
time to play with toys, puzzles etc. in order to have some independent quiet time
5:30-6:00 Dinner
6:00-7:00 Free Time Watch tv, play on Ipad, play video games. Try to limit to the hour unless watching a family
movie together.
7:00-7:45 Nighttime Routine Shower/bath, brush teeth, get ready for bed. A great time to work on self-help skills
7:45-8:30 Family Time Play a game, read a book together
8:30 Bed
