Choice and Chance

Objective :

To make them realize that they have chances to make their lives better, but it is there choices that will
determine the outcome of their chances.

How to’s:

Make the lifegroup lively, make them debate with each other, make them think depeer. No need for ice
breaker, the topic is compose of 3 ice breaking questions already.

Introduction.

We will have simple rule, be true to yourself and use your own mind to think

Today will talk about the 3 C’s that matters most to our lives. Chance, Choice and Challenge.

Let us start the Lifegroup...

In one word define Chance? (ask them 1 by 1, no copy paste of the answer)

# some will answer , opportunity, other are 2nd try, “pagkakataon” or hope

Next question.
In one word define Choice? (ask them 1 by 1, no copy paste of the answer)

# some will answer, option, mutiple choice o “pagpipilian” or decision

Okay that’s great! That is your definition of Chance and Choice.

Let us proceed to the next question...

Given that you have your own definition of chance and choice, what do you think is the relationship
between Choice and Chance or Chance to Choice?

Tell them to give example to their answer.

No choice ka ba talaga o no chance ka lang?

Anu ba nauuna chance muna bago choice o choice muna bago chance?

Choice sa Chance, kung bibigyan ka ng dapat mong pahalagahan, Chance o Choice? At bakit.

May isang magnanakaw na nakulong, tapus pinalaya siya, tapus bumalik siya pagnanakaw, tapus nahuli
uli siya. Tapus pinalaya uli siya. Kaya lang bumalik siya sa pagnanakaw, nahuli uli siya, tapus pinalaya uli.
Nagnakaw uli, nakulong, pinalaya, nakulong, pinalaya... and so on.

The point is yung magnanakaw ay lage may chance, pero lage siyang nakukulong.

Anu ang mali sa magnanakaw bakit lage siya nakukulong? – ung choices niya.

LESSON:

Kung meron kang dapat pahalagahan at dapat bantayan sa buhay mo, hindi yung chances mo yun, kundi
yung choices na ginagawa mo.

Kasi kahit paulit ulit kang bigyan ng chance, kung hindi naman nagbabago choices mo, wala rin
magbabago sa buhay mo.

Your choices will determine what you will become tomorrow.

Marapat na itanghal ang Dios, dahil Siya ay mabuti sa lahat Niyang nilikha. Sumisikat ang araw sa mabuti
at masama, at umuulan sa matuwid at hindi matuwid. (Mat 4:45; Awit 145:9)

Ibig sabihin mabuti ka man o masama lahat ng tao ay binibigyan ng Diyos ng Chances. We all have Equal
chances. At ang Chances ay galing kay God. Pero bakit hindi lahat masaya? Hindi lahat mayaman? Hindi
lahat maayos? Dahil sa Choices na ginagawa natin.

For example. Binigyan ka at yung kapatid mo ng php100. Yung kapatid mo 50 dun ay inipon niya, at ikaw
yung 50 pinangdota mo. Sino sa tingin mo ang may pera pagdating ng kagipitan?

php100 is your chance, what is your choice?

Isipin mo lahat ng chances na meron ka (magaral, makilala si God, sumaya,magkafriends, mapaganda

ang buhay etc). Isipin mo naman lahat ng choices na ginawa mo sa chances na meron ka. Nagtugma ba?
