Please find enclosed a copy of Chief Commissioner (DOL)’s D.O. letter in

F.No.446/2/2016-MO/Vol-I/204 dated 04.02.2020, enclosing Board’s letter dated 09.01.2020,
Zone/Commissionerate wise status report of Vessels and Proforma for reallocation of
Boats/Requirement of Infrastructure and Logistic Support at Commissionerates.

2. The Directorate of Logistics have requested that based on the functional justification,
requirement of the vessels and accordingly the manpower may be assessed and proposal for
category wise allocation of more vessels/manpower or availability of excess
vessels/manpower may be sent.

3. Also DOL has requested for proposals for hiring, if, any, of vessels with/without
crew and fuel from reliable local agencies, to be commanded by our Preventive Staff, to be
forwarded. In this regard it is informed that separate agencies may be identified for different
types of vessels and also for supplying of only manpower with repair & maintenance and that
Police department and even in Indian Navy (non combat) operations are done by outsourcing
vessels with manpower.

4. Therefore, it is requested that the above said proposals/details in the prescribed

proforma may be sent to this office by 14.02.2020 for onward submission.
