LOGIN
PLEASE NOTE
When your device is connected to XChange box with software version 4.2 the
browser directs user to xchange.box automatically in case he or she tries to open
a website without active data session through Xchange Box.
PLEASE NOTE
Your username is a combination of the first character of your first name and your
complete family name (for instance jsmith for John Smith). Your password to
have access to your Xchange account consists of 10 characters if you are
registered by someone else than you, while an 8-digit numeric code that is
composed of 4-fixed and 4-variable digits needs to be provided before you make
with table phone on board.
WARNING
If your login fails, your credentials might be invalid, your account inactive or you
are not granted to access the network with your profile.
MY PROFILE
Once logged in, check and personalize your account via My Profile:
Check your remaining credit or request more.
Check your account type for communication (either local allowance, postpaid or Universal Card TM).

Depending on your account type, the XChange Box offers a real-time cost control.
DATA SERVICES
PLEASE NOTE
During a data session, you are not able to close the box portal. If you try, your
data session will be closed.
TELEPHONY SERVICES
Pick-up a phone and press ‘0’. Listen to the available options and choose one of them:
For option ‘1’ dial the international destination followed by the ‘#’ key. Note that you may be asked
to enter your 8-digit PIN code followed by the ‘#’ key if the phone requires user authentication.
For option ‘6’, wait until the connection to the Universal Card service has been established and
follow the standard Universal Card procedure using your 12-digit Universal Card PIN.
For option ‘9’, dial the local extension number you want to call followed by the ‘#’ key.

WARNING
If you are using a private smartphone and have access via Wi-Fi to the box, use
your account details to be able to use the XChange Box with your device. The
cases desscribed above remain valid.
LOCAL INTRANET
Additionally to your personal account, you have access to a local intranet shared among the vessel:

XCHANGE MEDIA
In case your employer has activated this service you may enjoy videos with different topics:
- news
- magazines
- reports
- sports
- and even more.
The service does not need data usage and has no cost on crew side. New videos are uploaded every
single day in order to provide continuous entertainment.
