Q. What is driving Amazon’s entry into smart phone market? Is it ego trip?

No, its not an ego trip. Everyone has a right to diversify his business. This case study is
about the time when Samsung and iPhone control the market. They are the trend setters.
And Amazon want to come with some new ideas to get smartphone market share and to
promote and ease of current business and for its growth.

Q. What does it fit in Amazon’ vision to be earth most customer centric company: to
build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to
buy online?

Amazon phone is a tool or strategic move to achieve its vision. Phone helps customer to
find, discover, and purchase instantly by just searching through camera. In fact nowadays,
phone is the most customer centric thing. Phone has replaced, alarm clock, calculator,
reminder, camera, PC, laptop, landline, radio etc.

Q. What strategic focus does the move signify? What alternatives are open to amazon
and how could amazon purse them?

Amazon can make a strong app can work on other operating system can allow to access
with same feature (Finding products on amazon through visual identification can searching)
as amazon phone.

Amazon can increase its customer by giving free cloud space to some limit as google did (15
GB free space).

Amazon make strategic alliance with some mobile manufacturer to default amazon app.
