PROFILE
I believe that all children are unique, and all children have something special to bring to the modern-day
classroom. I see my role, as a young, developing teacher, to nurture and inspire the workforce of the
future. I am hardworking, motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills which I have developed
through my school placements and work experience.

NOVEMBER 2019 – FEBRUARY 2020
Teaching Practice 4: 10 Weeks: Sancta Maria College, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo.
Taught Technical Graphics at Junior Certificate level. Construction Studies and Design &
Communication Graphics at Leaving Certificate level.

DECEMBER 2018 – FEBRUARY 2019

Teaching Practice 3: 8 Weeks: Balla Secondary School, Balla, Co. Mayo.
Taught Materials Technology Wood, Technical Graphics and Civic, Social and Political Education
at Junior Certificate level.
Developed a range of schemes of work, lesson plan and professional resources.
Provided cover for teachers.
Assisted in the school open evening.
Regular supervision of after school study.
Acted as a reader for a student sitting his Junior Certificate exams, prior to teaching practice.

OCTOBER 2017 – APRIL 2018

Teaching Practice 2: 1 Day Per Week: Coláiste Muire, Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo.
Initially team-taught Technical Graphics and Material Technology Wood classes.
Planned and delivered 1st Year Technical Graphics classes independently.

MAY 2017
Teaching Practice 1: 1 Week: Letterfrack N.S, Letterfrack, Co. Galway.
Assisted the class teacher deliver classes from 1st to 6th class.
Supervised lunchtimes.

SUMMER 2017
Kitchen, Bath and Bedroom Fitter: Symphony Kitchens, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
Assist the delivery man with delivering the kitchen carcasses on site.
Receive, inspect and store the delivery of doors and units according to size and job location.
Assist the fitters with the installation of kitchens and bedroom furniture.
Independently measure a kitchen and plan the layout of the kitchen taking account of the
windows, doors and utilities.
