Dear Mouly/Schori Families,

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding during this crazy time. We
hope that you are all doing well and are safe staying home and enjoying time with
your family. It is difficult to adjust to working at school without the kids and
working from home in general and we know it has been quite the transition for you
as well. We want you to know that we miss seeing your sweet faces everyday and
we look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you do at home!

We have been working hard to create a distance learning plan that will be
accessible and achievable from home. At this point we can tell you that we will be
providing 5 hours/week - 1 hour/day of educational time for you. This will cover
language arts, math, religion and wellness. Of course you can be doing more with
your child, this is just what is required from Alberta Education. We do not wish to
overload you with too much at the beginning (and we are also learning as we go) so
it will be a soft start. We understand that you are all concerned about your child
being prepared and ready for next year. We are going to do everything that we can
on our end to help you set your child up for success!

Starting Monday March 30th and each Monday after that we will send you a weekly
template outlining focus activities for that week that you can follow at home.
Throughout the week several resources will appear through FreshGrade, including
links to videos we create. It is important that your child is signed up for FreshGrade
Student as they will then have the ability to upload pictures of their assignments to
share with us. Remind messages went out this Monday with your student’s
individual access code. We have created a website that will have all of the links,
documents, newsletters and resources that will help you and your child through this
new learning at home experience. We hope that you can find the time to explore
this and find that it is useful in enhancing your child’s learning. Please do not
hesitate to contact us through email or remind if you have any concerns. We will
also strive to have some sort of video chat/phone call weekly, whether that be one
on one or in a group setting. It is going to be a steep learning curve for us all, but
we will help you through it and will work together!
