ACCOMPISHMENT REPORT
NARRATIVE REPORT

I. OBJECTIVE

 To strengthen “Every child a Reader Program”, making every Filipino

child a competent reader and writer appropriate for his / her grade level

 To develop a child with a genuine love for reading

 To improve great learners with comprehension

II. PROCEDURE

Reading is one of the most important things that every person must know. If
everyone knows how to read, they will never get lost wherever he or she went to
the places that are so unfamiliar to them. From reading the different books, you’ll
know everything.

The importance of reading should be emphasized at an early age. Teaching

reading to young ones starts at home. Our parents are the number one teacher of
his own children. Many say that, “What a child’s sees in his parents will be going
to inherit by his children”. When the children see that their parents are having fun
while reading, they too will want to read and some become an imaginative writers.

In our school, the school head and teachers of the school encouraged their
pupils to have a habit of reading. The pupils are making an advance reading to
have insights on their next topic. By reading just a few pages a day, a child will
improve his comprehension skills, spelling ability together with their vocabulary
skills. Some pupils are caught in the act that they are reading in inside of their
classroom. During free time, some pupils are having the what we call peer
tutoring. This peer tutoring will win new friends. You learn to read and at the
same time you gain a friend. Some pupils are using their cell phone in answering
word games that helps them to enhance their vocabulary. The pupils also have the
choral reading. In young learners, the first step in reading was a letter recognition
together with its sound that starts in Kindergarten. The teacher also let her pupils
to read aloud.

Reading does not have to stop when you put the book down. Talk to the pupils
about the book they read. Some pupils will raise questions about the story they
read.

Teachers should not stop reading even though you are already a teacher. They
should find time to read no matter how hectic their schedules are. They should not
rely on TV, radio, computer or internet as sources of information, through reading,
they can more knowledgeable in many things. They can explore the whole world
and become updated with what is going on around us. They can improve the
vocabulary, making his pupils a great readers and excellent writers as well. They
need to store knowledge, facts and ideas in the minds of his learners because
teachers cannot give what they don’t have. And how they can motivate their
pupils to read if they do not love reading at all? And we do believe in that saying,
“Teachers must be equipped of ideas that we can share to our pupils.”
