Narrative Report on 2022 Pambansang Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasahas


undeniably affected the interests and like of the people especially the young
minds.The benefit of having something in a snap of a finger adds to their
indolence to give time more time and effort. One conpicous effect, though reasons
may vary , is children,s lack of interest in reading. For some, reading is not fun. In
an era when instant is a trend, reading is boring. But this could not be the case
for reading one of the fundamental skills one should efficiently develop.” Reading
is important for a variety of reasons. First, it develops the mind .The ability to
understand and decode messages nourishes our brain. Aside from this, reading
also helps us discover and unfold learning. It broadens one’s imagination and
widens one’s horizon. It is a skill that can be used as a weapon in this battle
called life.

To accentuate the essence of reading especially to the learners, as


support to the “ 2022 Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasa . Tulay Elementary school held
various activities that aimed to promote love for reading and to celebrfate the
diversity of learners and culture through reading.

As a kick of “ 2022 Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasa,brief discussion of the


importance of reading was given to us by one of the officer of General PTA officer
Mrs. Polyn Casajeros .

As partnership with the stakeholders , selected parent was invited to


be the guest in the first Monday of the month. Mrs Polyn Casajeros discussed the
“Importance of Reading” to the Tulay Learners . Following week Angela Shanlee
Casajeros tell story “ My 3 wishes “ right after the flag raising ceremony ..Story
telling continues in the following days. KS1 teachers was assigned in story telling
in the the 2nd week and 3rd week of the month 30 minutes before classes will start
. Ks2 advisers was assigned in the 3rd week and 4th week . This will help learners
develop language skills , improve comprehension and exhibit interpersonal skills.
This activity could help in our Project TULAY ( Think Understand Learn and You
Will become a good reader ). Another activity is Re telling story by the
Kindergarten pupils conducted by Mrs. Gina E. Caballes.. Another activity is to
continue the reading remediation of each adviser during their remedial
time.Reading remediation continue not only this month but all through out this
school to able reduce the number of learners belong to frustration level.

Reading interventions are activities and strategies that help struggling readers develop
their ability to read. Struggling readers can be students who are not able to decode, or break up,
words into syllables. Through decoding, students sound out unfamiliar words they encounter while
reading.
Tualy Elementary School make a way in order to decrease the number of struggling
readers. Project Go for Rey is one of the reading project of the school. The reading coordinatos of
Ksi1 maam Madrely Inguanzo and reading coordinator of KS2 maam Rosa Magda Mojica attended

trainings on how to use the different materials in the said project. After the training they orient the
parents on how to use the different ways of reading using apps…
