Hello families,

We will be doing regular zoom meetings each week on Mondays and Wednesdays at
11:00. This time will be used to either give a math lesson or a language lesson and
address any questions you or your child might have. We would love to have you
join in on those because it is the best way to communicate directly with your child
and is an easy way for them to get in some practice.

We are also utilizing our brief time with an EA every week to work in small group
sessions with students over zoom. We have been targeting students we feel this
would be most beneficial for - if you think your student would benefit from these
sessions and we have not yet included them, please let us know and we will see
what we can do.

Friday study hour zooms are a great opportunity for you or your student to touch
base with either Mrs. Schori, Miss Mouly or both for any reason, even if it’s just to
say hello! You are welcome to pop in at any time during the hour.

As the weather improves we know that your child will be spending more and more
time outdoors. Seasonal changes is a big unit we would be normally covering in
science at school. We did a lot of activities observing changes in the fall, and spring
is another great time to be watching out, observing and recording changes. Please
feel free to send us photos and videos over FreshGrade of your child observing
changes. Did they find a critter they want to share? Are they seeing bees visiting
the first flowers of the season? Have baby bunnies taken over the area under your

shed? (or worse...the skunk that likes under Mrs. Schori’s front step that she can’t
get rid of! It was gone for three weeks and she took up the boards and it moved
right back in!)

Don’t forget that next weekend is May long so we do not have school on Monday
May 18th and it is a PD day on Tuesday May 19th. On these days we will not be
providing work for your child to do as Monday is a holiday, and Tuesday we will be
in all day meetings.
