1. METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES:
1.2 Standard:
- I understand basic information about familiar topics related with my environment and
family.
- I understand academic and general readings written with a simple language.
- I write short messages with different purposes.
Being: Learn new information from him/her-self, understand and transmit meanings.
1.4 Materials and Techniques Description: - Board and markers to do the explanations
about the topics, competition activities, and reflective questions.
- Notebooks and pencils to take notes about the simple present rules.
1.1 Method: In this class development, the students are going to do several activities about

the simple present tense worked in class, by doing speaking activities, participating,
competing, reading, writing and explaining main information during the class.
2. CLASS BEGINNING:
2.1 Class Context description: Short explanations about the present simple tense and its rules,
activities involving different skills such as reading, writing, and speaking where students should use
simple present tense.
2.2 Attendance Checking and Warm up: To develop the warm up for the class, the teacher will
start the class by introducing himself and explaining how he will carry out the following classes (15
minutes).
3. CLASS DEVELOPMENT:
3.1 Activity 1:
General explanation about the different topics to work during this week. To start the class, the
teacher is going to do a general overview about the most important aspects about the simple present
tense. As students were previously assigned to develop an activity about prepositions, the teacher
revised it and started giving them feedback (20 minutes). Afterwards, the teacher ask the students to
get in front of the board and solve the previous activity given by the in-service teacher (20 minutes).
Activity 2: “Making questions”, to develop the second activity, the students will be asked to place
the seats in certain way they face each other making a circle. The questions for the activity will be
written on the board (Do you do sports? Who are you? What is your nationality? What do you do in
your free time?) Each student will have to ask to their classmates the four questions set on the board
and then he/she has to move to the right every five minutes (50 minutes).
making students aware of the changes in the verbs, the teacher will explain to them the third person
rules(20 minutes). Finally, students will complete a worksheet for reinforcing the rules (10
minutes).
4.1 Evaluation (Knowing, doing, being): - To evaluate the present class the most important
aspects to have in mind are the good behavior during the activities done in the classroom and the
permanent use of English.
- Speaking, reading and writing skills will be evaluated during the progression of the 2nd and 3rd
activity, followed by the appropriacy of the topic.
-The students are available to exchange knowledge with their partner, taking into account new
information provided by the teacher and general topics of interest given by their partners.
