 Care Nine is a structured Maternity Support Program developed by
United Healthcare (America’s largest Healthcare Provider) for parents-
to-be. This provides employees online & telephone based support right
from the day employees know they are pregnant.

 Onsite Health Checkup

 KPIT provides onsite Health checkup exclusive only to its employees


(Family members not included). Employees can take such health
checkup benefits for preliminary ailments from the specialist doctors
arriving onsite.

 Gratuity
 Gratuity is a sum of money paid by an employer to an employee for
services rendered in the company. However, gratuity is paid only to
employees who complete 5 or more years with the company.
 Formula- Gratuity Amount = (15 * Last drawn salary amount * period
of service) / 30

 Provident fund
 KPIT matches their contributions to the Provident Fund, up to 12.5% of
their basic salary. You’ll fill out an enrollment form on their first day of
work.

 National Pension Scheme


 The minimum limit for NPS is Rs. 6015/- per annum (including .25% of
transaction charge) and the maximum limit for the same is 10% of their Basic
Salary. To avail the benefit of NPS one needs to get registered to get their
PRAN account. The amount that one opt during flexi restructuring will get
deducted from his monthly take home and credited to his/her PRAN account

 VPI (Variable Incentive Plan)

 VPI will be paid twice in a financial year, once after the mid-year
review (H1 period) along with salary of November end pay date
and then after the H2 appraisal period along with the salary of
May end pay date.
 For H1 period, up to 45% of the annual VPI will be paid. The
amount of H1 VPI payment will be based on business
performance and discretion of management. Employees who
receive an N1, N2, N3 or G3 rating in previous appraisal cycle will
not be eligible for VPI in H1.
 For H2 Period (end of the financial year), VPI will be calculated on
annual eligibility. In case the annual payout is more than the H1
paid amount then H1 VPI paid will be adjusted against the total
payout. In case the annual payout is less than H1 paid amount
then H1 VPI paid will not be recovered.

 Business Travel Benefit

 Business travel is defined as travel for the purpose of fulfilling


some official requirement, which may extend for a whole day or
may be overnight, within or outside the base location. Cities are
broadly classified in to two, Metro City and Other city.
 Following benefits can be given to employees in the form of cash
advance, Daily allowance, Local conveyance allowance etc.

 Voluntary Provident Fund


 Applicable to all employees on IN FSM, with a motive of the
income tax benefit to the employee under section 80C & also they will
get the interest as per the RPFC (Regional Provident Fund
Commissioner) by providing 6% or 12% of basic salary per month.

 Group Term Life Insurance policy & Employees Deposit Linked

 A lump sum benefit Basic Sum Assured of Flat cover Rs.10,05,000

 Vacation and National holidays


 This benefit applies to all regular employees (who are on company
rolls) and direct contractors in India region and on IN FSM of KPIT. The
leave will be from January 1- December 31.

 Global Bereavement
This 1 (one) day paid leave is given to all regular employees on
account of death of immediate family member: spouse, children,
parent, parent-in-law and siblings. This leave cannot be accumulated
or encashed.

 Maternity/ Paternity Leaves


 Paternity leave
Any full time male employee who has worked in the organization for
not less than 3 months (inclusive of holidays and weekly off) is entitled
for paternity leave. Employee can avail 5 working days of paid leave at
a stretch after the delivery of baby. This leave will necessarily have to
be taken within the first month of the date of delivery, and cannot be
accumulated or encashed under any circumstances. The leave can be
availed for up to a maximum of 2 children.

 Maternity Leave
This is applicable only for female employees who have worked for
more than 84 calendar days in the company and have conceived.

 Up to 2 children
Maternity leave can be availed up to a maximum period of twenty-six
weeks of which not more than eight weeks should precede the
expected delivery date. The rest of the benefits shall be in accordance
to Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. This leave cannot be accumulated or
encashed.
 More than 2 children
Maternity leave can be availed up to a maximum period of twelve
weeks of which not more than eight weeks should precede the
expected delivery date. The rest of the benefits shall be in accordance
to Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. This leave cannot be accumulated or
encashed.

 Payment of Medical Bonus: Every woman employee who


avails the maternity leave is also entitled to Medical Bonus of ₹.
3500/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred Only) Every
female employee is expected to submit the notice in writing as
mentioned in Annexure to the respective Biz HR before the onset
of Maternity Leave.

 Leave for Miscarriage: A female employee may, on production


of certificate from a registered medical practitioner, be entitled
to leave with salary for a maximum period of six weeks
immediately following the day of her miscarriage or voluntary
termination of pregnancy due to medical reasons.

 Extension of Leave for Maternity: A female employee can


avail Maternity Leave for total duration of maximum 365 days
(inclusive of Maternity Leave, Earned Leave as well as Leave
without Pay). To apply for extended leave without pay, employee
should get in touch with respective Biz HR, who in turn will
inform the Leave Admin for system update. When planning to
join back at work, it will be important to formally inform their Biz
HR minimum of 30 days in advance.

 Adoption / Commissioning Leave: Any female employee who


has worked for more than 84 calendar days in the Company and
is commissioning or has adopted a child below the age of three
months will be eligible for this leave up to a maximum period of
twelve weeks. The employee can avail this leave from the day
the child has been handed over to the employee. Every female
employee is expected to submit the medical documents as well
as birth certificate of the child to the respective Biz HR before
the onset of leave. This leave cannot be accumulated or
encashed.
 KPIT Work-Life Balance (FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES)
 Occasionally working from home
KPIT provides work from home on an as-needed basis. For example, if
there is an appointment or a short-term commitment during the
workday, work from home makes it more convenient for employees
than to commute to the office. It is required to get verbal approval
from their manager.

 Adjusted work schedule


Employees may want to work the standard number of hours in a
workday or work week but vary their start and end times. For example,
employees may work Monday–Friday 6 am–3 pm or 9 am–6 pm. To
have an adjusted work schedule, employees must get verbal approval
from their manager. However it is mandatory to maintain an average
of 9 hours monthly.

 Part-time schedule
Employees may want to work fewer than the standard work week
hours. Note: Their pay will be prorated and their benefits may be
impacted. To work a part-time schedule, employees must get approval
from their manager, the next level manager and permission from
Business HR may also be required.

 Absent Leave
In some urgent scenarios like hospitalization of immediate family
member or employee’s own case of illness, an employee can avail
“leave without pay” for several days or months. These leave need to
be pre-approved by BU Head/Function Head. This leave will need to be
applied from backend on employee’s behalf by the leave administrator.
 Office Environment

 Flexible Hours
KPIT allows Flexible work schedules to all its employees, however
it is mandatory for the employees to maintain average of 9 hours
at the end of the month.
Official Timings of the office will be 8:30-5:30.

 Gym and Fitness Facilities


KPIT provides Gym facilities to all its employees from 07:00 hrs.
To 12:00hrs. And 16:00 hrs. To 21:00 hrs. (Working days only).
Charges for the same will be deducted through monthly payroll.

 Canteen Facilities
KPIT provides canteen facilities to its employees for 5 working
days a week.
KPIT Canteen provides an enjoyable, nutritious and attractively
presented selection of foods and drinks at reasonable prices
Employees can enjoy their meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Evening
snacks) by the canteen provided by KPIT.

 Recreational Facilities
KPIT provides recreational facilities to its employees like the
gaming spot, rest rooms etc by which the employees when tired
can avail to recreate interest in work.
However timings for using those facilities are mentioned.
