Bi-Weekly Progress Report (12/2 - 12/13)

Monday (12/2): I started to brainstorm my ideas for my original work proposal. I was able to find
out the idea of creating a research paper and presenting it to Cardiologists.

Tuesday (12/3): I started working on my Original Work proposal. I was able to formulate my
plan and how I was going to execute that plan.

Wednesday (12/4): I finished working on my original work proposal and made my finishing
touches. Also, I started working on my speech that I had to present on Friday, and brainstormed
my topic and outline.

Thursday (12/5): I worked on creating a script for the outline for my presentation. I also finished
making the slides, and began preparation. I made sure to continue repeating my presentation.

Friday (12/6): On this day I was able to deliver my speech. There were a couple of things that I
felt I could have improved such as watching my nervous shifting and eye contact to make sure I
am properly presenting to my audience.

Monday (12/9): I sent out messages to friends and family to see who was willing to attend
winter showcase, in order to start formulating my guest list. I also began making a template for
my invitations.

Tuesday (12/10): After many people confirmed, I made my guest list. Then I moved on to
making my invitations for winter showcase. Also, in class, I listened to other people’s
presentations and gave them feedback on their speeches.

Wednesday (12/11): After finishing the invitations and ordering them, I went to staples to pick
up my invitations. Then, I prepared them, made finishing touches to envelopes and packaged
them.

Thursday (12/12): I brought the invitations to school so that Mr. Pirtle would be able to check
them. I also continued to listen to presentations and give back feedback.

Friday (12/13): On this day, I began making my portfolio, and printing out my research
assessments, weekly blogs and other important documents to place into my portfolio.

Upcoming Goals: While winter showcase is coming up, my number one priority is to make sure
that my display board is ready, and that I have completed the requirements for winter showcase,
such as portfolios.

Reflection: Overall, I feel like this week is preparing us for the upcoming events such as winter
showcase, and eventually Final Presentation Night. Because of this, I feel as though this week
helps us get prepared for these events as a lot of responsibilities were thrown our way, making
us adapt to the different scenarios we may experience.
