LEARNING FEEDBACK

Name: APRIL JOY D. MANGSAT BSN 2-2 RLE GROUP 2

Clinical Instructor: MR. MARKHIPOLITO P. GALINGANA DECEMBER 11, 2019

 I learned to establish rapport first between the patient and the Significant Other before
getting the vital signs of my patient.
 I observed the proper administration of medicines.
 I learned the different parts of the patients chart.
 I learned how to make Nurse's Notes.
 I observed the actual endorsement of nurses.
 I improved my communication skills even though I'm a shy type person.
 I need to face my fear and be strong whatever happens.
 I encountered different Doctors.
 I encountered different diseases.
 I encountered different Patients and Significant Others.
 I learned that I need to give health teaching in my client not just getting their vital signs
so that they can improve their healthy lifestyle.
 I learned the difference between sterile and unsterile.
 I learned different diseases that our Clinical Instructor teaches us.
 I regulated IV Fluids from fast drip to 41-42 gtts. /min.
 Being a student nurse, doing right and appropriate things with my patients brings a
guiding light that keeps me on the right track.
 I need to love what I am doing to become a Registered Nurse soon, so that I serve and
apply my undying service.
 I observed how the nurses handle their patient one by one even they are tired and
toxic to the environment it is their responsibility to serve their patients.
 I learned that I don't need to stress myself. Eventhough I have a lot of paper works and
not enough sleep time just take it as a challenge and I will overcome it.
 Presence of mind is important. I need to focus on what I am doing. I forgot to regulate the
IV Fluids of my patient so I have one demerit it serves as a lesson.
 "Patience is a virtue." Being a student nurse I need a lot of patience in our clients as
always even they are sometimes "masungit" because they are sick I need to accept and
understand it.
 "On time but not late." Time cannot adjust with me. So I am the one to adjust and change
my morning routine especially waking up early as much as possible in the morning to
avoid late and demerit.
 "No man is an island." As a group we need teamwork and unity to finish our
requirements. If you don't know one thing just ask some help from your group.
 Just go with the flow. I learned to cooperate with my groupmates eventhough we are not
close and we have different personalities.
 So as a group we must prove that we can show our abilities and skills to serve what we
had learned.
 On our last duty, it is the enjoyable duty because we're given the chance to enter in the
Operating Room to observe. We observed two cases which is Caesarean Section and
Appendectomy. I learned a lot, the different instruments and equipment’s use during
operation and be alert on Doctor's order. The nurse in charge is kind and understandable
eventhough we don't know the name of the instrument he understand us because he
knows that we are first timer.
 I observed that being a Clinical Instructor is not easy because it is his obligation to guide
us in our duties Our duty is full of chismisan(bonding session). We are lucky that our C.I
is cool and brilliant. He shared his experiences and accomplishments to inspire us. He
removes away our nervous and fears towards the hospital. He also serves as our BOOK
because he knows everything about the diseases and he is not selfish to teach us.
 ALL I CAN SAY WITH MY DUTY IS I'M HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME AND I
REALLY ENJOYED IT.
