Onomatopoeia refer to words that imitate sounds. Examples: Splash,
tinkle
Alliteration is the repetition of vowel sounds in words with different
consonants in a line. Example: Time tells the tales; tinkle, tinkle, tinkle
Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds in words with different
consonants in a line. Example: Hear the mellow wedding bells. Golden bells!

May 22 is the feast day of Saint Rita de Cascia. On this day, people from
Barangay Sta. Rita celebrate their barrio fiesta.
This year my friends and I went to Kuya Efren’s house to celebrate with
them. There were lots of visitors, ladies; boys and even babies were there. We were
so amazed with the different mouth-watery dishes like fish with tomatoes, adobo,
loaves of bread and the famous “calderetang Batangas.” There were also lots of
delicious desserts like fruit salad, leche flan and ice cream with strawberries on top.
Ate Crizol, kuya Efren’s wife, invited us to watch the highlight of the
celebration which was the “Ms. Teen Barangay 2017.” But it was already dark so
we refused to witness the show because our parents might get worried about us.
However, it was a fun-filled experience for all of u.
