DIAGRAM AND PRE-CLASS ARRANGEMENT (include specifics):
Students will be at their partner hula hoops on the half court with their teams. They will
be traveling to the other half court, picking a poly spot to shoot from and will take the
polyspot back to their hula hoop if they make the shot. More game info on “Skill Application”.

ORIENTATION
The students will be practicing for
their performance for the
community event, Ramona Finals.
The students performance consists
of a Basketball Jam Dance, and of
a modified basketball game called
Hot Spots Basketball.
Cognitive:
Students will recognize and
remember the home position and
ready position. Students will also
need to process the routine and be
able to follow along.
Affective:
Students will need to be able to feel
confident about their ball handling
skills in order to perform well.

DIFFERENTIATION:
There will be different sized balls
that students get to choose to shoot
into the crates.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:
Expect students to be able to select
a ball that they are most
comfortable with to shoot into the
crate. Expect students to
understand the rules of the game.
Expect students to know what they
can and can not do.
Psychomotor:
Students will be running, dribbling,
and shooting from various
distances.
Cognitive:
Students will need to understand
the rules of the game and will need
to understand the consequences.

Students will show good
sportsmanship to the team that
wins the round, and overall game.
