I recently took notice of your job posting to Indeed.com regarding the position for a
legislative and communications aide for your team. My name is Madison Weaver and I am
currently a junior at Arizona State University looking to gain experience in my major. I am also
currently studying Communications and am very interested in your position as a way to gain
experience in the field. Within my major, I am increasingly interested in the application of
communications as it relates to the job field and everyday life. I feel as though this position
within Senator Henry Stern’s office would be an exceptional learning experience for me as I
continue to work towards my bachelor degree and am able to partake in communications
oriented projects on your team.
I currently am a barista at Starbucks and have about 5 years of prior experience in the
customer service industry. I am ready and looking to find a job that will enrich my career and
connect with what I am majoring in. I hope to become part of a team that I can learn and grow
from. In my current position, I am used to fast-paced and high stress situations and I feel I am
capable of providing this same energy to any position. I am a very reliable and responsible
employee and student and I thrive to always work hard. I have excellent communications skills
and feel I can effectively take on any projects that come my way. I have also always had an
interest in legislative duties and am ready and willing to help make important changes within
California.
Overall I would be honored to have the chance to work under Senator Henry Stern and
become a part of your team. I could be a very useful addition and I have the skills necessary to
