Jefferson County
District Attorney’s Office

Dear hiri ng recr uit er :

I am applying for the paralegal position at the District Attorney’s office advertised on your government website.
With my skills, experience, and education qualify me as the candidate for the position. I am a student currently
enrolled at the University of Colorado, looking forward to graduating with my Bachelor Degree in Sociology.
After successfully completing coursework in a American Bar Association (ABA) – approved paralegal program, I
realized my passion was civil litigation. It was at this time, I was able to develop exceptional organizational and
communication skills.

Last year, I completed my paralegal internship at Andrus Wagstaff, I specifically worked on the Monsanto case.
My responsibilities included working closely with clients, paralegals, attorneys, and partner firms. I aided with
drafting affidavits, client intake, created databases on excel, scheduled depositions, and provided support for
other active cases in the firm. I gained experience in reviewing legal documents, medical records, and the ability
to maintain hundreds of client files, as well as administrative tasks like receptionist duties. In addition, I have over
ten years of excellent communication skills, where I practiced the highest quality of service, and developed the
ability to work in a congenial manner.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the paralegal position and my interests to work for the District
Attorneys Office, I am currently studying for the LSAT and would love to become an attorney myself. I am
available after 4pm everyday, and I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration,

Best,
Lindsay Ray Estevan
