POSTED WRITTEN TUTORIAL & NOTES

Effect: Magician asks spectator a question, spectator answers out loud and Magician
pulls their phone out and launches facebook. On the magician's profile it shows the
spectators answer with a time stamp of 3 hours ago.

Method: While the magician is holding their phone they post on facebook the answer.

Set-Up: On Android or iOS, go into phone settings and navigate into the date and time
settings. And you need to move the time forward on your phone. For example if its 2pm
move the time FORWARD to 5pm moving it 3 hours. Confirm the change by exiting out
of settings and checking the time. *Make sure when you change the time that the time is
moved forward and it stays within the same day. And always refresh your news feed
before you reveal.

Performance: Phone is in pocket and already set-up. Approach the spectator and ask
them to pick a color. Spectator tells you color, and as you pull your phone out keep it
close to the chest and quickly type the color in and post it to your facebook. Refresh the
news feed, and have the spectator come close to you and you draw the phone down to
show. Go into your news feed and let the spectator announce what they see and point
out the time.

ASSISTANT HELP
This is really easy same set up as the solo way, but you need another phone and you
have to be logged into facebook. Your assisatant will basically post on your facebook
using their phone whatever the spectator says. Then to reveal, you pull your phone out
and refresh the news feed and then you will notice a new status (the one your assistant
just posted) and it will have a new timestamp.

NOTES

•Alright so you need to remember to always stay within the same day when you
move the time forward.

•Posted will only work on your phone/ or whatever phone has the time change.

•Your time will be completely off, don't worry your spectator will never see it.
 •Make sure you refresh your feed prior to your reveal.

•Always move the time at least 3 hours FORWARD.

•If you don't like the color prediction method remember Posted is very flexible and
only limited to your imagination.

•Don't display this as a cell phone trick but more of an oddity. You don't want the
phone or facebook the star of the trick. Focus on the what happened 3 hours
ago. That 3 hours ago you posted something.

•Be creative and justify bringing the phone out. Make it your own.

IDEAS
This is what I have been doing lately, I have been writing something vague on my
facebook..... "Today is gonna be great day, gonna meet some new people and show
some great magic. The beautiful weather is amazing and i am gonna hear a great story
about _________ " this is obviously not posted but its in my status. And then I instantly
lock my phone. (So when I unlock my phone I'm back to that screen) And so I ask the
specator to think of a person. They think of the person and i ask who is this person.
"Mike" and I tell them to share a story about Mike. Normally its a funny story, and while
everyone is laughing on the off beat and pull my phone out put mike on there and post.
refresh. And then bring the phone down and go into facebook to reveal. This is all done
when people are laughing off beat

Another routine involves an imaginary dart game in which I use my calculator to add up
the numbers.. This justifies the use of a phone.
